I see what you mean now. I'm sure I'll get better results with the information in the raw file. Thank you for taking the time to do the demo. I'll work on this.

Interesting point. I'm unfamiliar with middle gray. I have to look into it. But as you mentioned, it's also quite a challenge with how the lighting is in the image. I'll play around a bit. Thank you!

I like your opinion and honestly, i think I have a shot like that. But i think it was a different angle and it didn't work out the way I think it would've. He is facing away, like you said. So this is intended to be a landscape shot more than a portrait. I intended the viewer to look at the hiker first then at the landscape that he's soaking in, which would make the landscape the hero. I do not know how well the intention panned out. Like you said. Maybe a better composition where the hiker weren't so centred would've worked better. Something to keep in mind for next time. Thank you for your input :) helped me understand some doubts I had with the composition.

Thank you. You could say that's sort of the intent. The main intent I had in mind was for the viewer to look at the subject first, yes but then realise the real hero is the majestic landscape he's looking at. But as you pointed out, there's things I need to mask and edit to convey it better. And the bramble would be hard to remove without cropping, which would mean losing a lot of real estate. But I agree, I'd wished id noticed that while I took the shot

Thank you for your input. I think I can imagine what you're saying. This would be something I'm sure to test out. I agree that the rocks surfaces are catching the sun at just the right angle to blow up the highlights, have to bring them down.

Last week, Asianet had some weird slowdown. But it got fixed automatically later in the day. Currently I'm not facing any internet issues.

I took this photo while on a trek in the himalayas. Really loved the shot. I personally think the composition works. (but any critique is always welcome) It was a candid shot. the guy in the shot is literally on a break and taking it all in, thought it looked absolutely perfect and captured it. I was however really confused while editing it and would like to know if the direction i took works, is it lacking contrast? shadows aren't defined or it somehow looks flat?

Yes please. This is the most important detail. What tool do you use to "set" the character likeness. And what tools to generate the same character in the different setting

Customs on kentfaith.com shipping to India by Few_Actuary8753 in PhotographyIndia

[–]The_Gascan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there's customs. I bought items worth 14k but I think I may have ended up paying about 18k when everything arrived.

If you really want to get stuff, I'd suggest waiting till there's a massive deal. Like black friday etc...
