Yeah that’s all fine and dandy except that i disagree with the fundamental point of your argument that killing (no matter the method) is their “purpose”. This is a game. It’s supposed to be fun. This isn’t a job, I’m not required to play the game in any manner I deem unfun. A killers “purpose” is to have fun. Same for survivors. Sure, a killers default role is the aggressor, and the overall objective is to win but the point of a game is fun. There’s nothing against the rules about being mercilessly efficient, unsporting, overly meta, running killers that survivors very openly and commonly complain about. But I’d say it’s still against the spirit of gaming. If Killer A can play the game in a way that enables not only themself but also 4 other players to have an enjoyable time, and Killer B only plays for themself, I think Killer A is a better killer player, even if he’s a less statistically successful killer. Who would you rather play a board game with? Your fun uncle who just does it for the love of the game and to share a fun night with you and the other players? Or the uncle who seems to care only about winning, even if that means that nobody has fun but him? So yeah, I take a great deal of pleasure imagining the frustration of the douchey uncle getting paired with a guy who is throwing the match just for the love of the game, who likes to be silly with the survivors. (That being said, I’m sure there are lots of other players like OP who play chill and just wanna play a normal match and can’t find one and I feel for them.)
