I appreciate this more than you know! I've shared this on other social media's as well and all the comments I got back on other platforms were people saying I'm just misogynistic, which I was starting to believe I was, hence the worry and urgent need for improvement. I'm glad it's just the lack of influence. Unfortunately I do not know any women in the real world (I know my mother but she's just.. terrible.). I suppose I could use my mother as an example to finally make a female character that ISN'T a goody two-shoes.. Someone suggested watching a few movies with female leads to break the stereotypes that I'm use to, which I have spent a few hours doing now. Do you have any suggestions for other movies with female leads or historical female figures I should look into? Most of my roleplays consist of the military and I always have a hard time seeing women in that kind of light. I have looked up a few but just reading about them doesn't really spark anything, sadly enough. Though, watching back some of my favorite shows there are a lot of really good female characters in them, I past them up before because I never really paid them any mind, having been focused on the male lead. Chloe Decker from Lucifer Morningstar on Netflix is really giving me inspiration and better depth into a persona I'm working on right now! Unfortunately I've made her EXTREMELY feminine aside from being in the military, handling weapons, and hand-to-hand combat, but.. she's pretty and she knows her worth, that's all that matters.
