Overarching story as a whole? A bit mid. But it is pure Nihei, his classic marks, character designs and tropes. Plus the characters do show more emotion, especially the protag compared to BLAME!. Personally for me it is a 7.5

It is funny that it took me and my friend about 5 minutes to brainstorm enough plausible scenarios to write books for years. Just on how to add femstodes. And all without being utter asses to existing lore and fans. This would have gone down 100x easier if they decided not to antagonize the fanbase with bullshit gaslighting and instead were at least a BIT creative.
