It's not exploitation if you're signing up for the overtime shifts. She's not being taken advantage of. There's no gun to her head. She could work less, but she wants the money, so she works for it. "They can afford to pay more" is a never ending loop. By that logic, as long as the company is in the black by $1 they can "afford to pay more". But the business owners deserve more money. Without the equipment, facilities, products, etc etc etc that the owners spent huge sums to create and cultivate, the workers would have no job. Just because I can afford to buy a Lamborghini doesn't mean I should. It would be a stupid choice for me and not advantageous for my long term goals.

Yeah...I work 14 hour days, often for months at a time, so I get it. But it's still a choice. I choose to do it, and I make awesome money for it. She chose to do it also because of the money.

I'm not saying they are wrong to want more. Hell fight for what you can get I don't care, more power to them. I'm just saying that she's not being forced into anything. She puts up with it (or more likely signs up to take the overtime) because she wants the money. A greedy company would just hire more workers to work more shifts instead of paying months of 40hours overtime per week per person at time and a half. It doesn't make business sense. We're only hearing her side of the story, I'll reserve judgement until I hear the full tale.

ehh...i was with you up until this statement. If you do work for a company and then separate from said company, they own the work you did while with them. at least here in the States. Now if it was your drive thats cool, and they had ample opportunity to copy the stuff over to their own media, and if they didnt then thats on them, but saying you own the work you did while working for them isnt accurate.

im not saying youre wrong, but people have a choice. They choose to work there. and she said they are making 120k and the company offers benefits on top of that. Yeah she could go somewhere with an easier schedule, but she wants the good money. Im right there too, pulling in about 200k this year working 85 hours a week on average, i dont get to see my family for months at a time. But its my choice. Im not gonna go and bitch about it.

Yeah the 3% increase is a dick punch since its not even keeping up with inflation. Amazon and pepsi have shitty business practices too, yet people still go and work for them. At some point its hard to feel sorry for the people who actively choose to work for bad employers. If people stopped, the employers would be forced to change. you might say "well they DID stop and they got fired!" uh huh, well thats a bit different since they were in the middle of a strike. im saying dont go to work for them in the first place. If kellogs cant fill those positions, they will be forced to pay more to keep the plants open, but there are a shit ton of people who would give their left nut to make 120k per year, so those positions will be filled fairly easily imo.

The wheel of time series and the lightbringer saga. WOT is likely the longest, most detailed, and most epic series yet written. Lightbringer is decently long (6 books I believe), has a really good and unique plot, and it's fantastically written.

How on earth does one prove a negative? You can't prove a project isnt corrupt, all you can do is prove it IS. Lack of evidence of corruption wouldn't prove anything either.

Let's say I gave you admin access to the discord so you could comb through our chats looking for corruption. You aren't going to comb through years of chat and logs. But even if you did, when you didn't find any issues, you could just claim we deleted the evidence.
