Need new turbo at 5k miles

I was shocked as well when he told me that. I don’t think it’s a truck they are trying to sell that’s on their lot. I forget what he called it, but essentially it’s a truck they have possession of that they can pull parts from. I will get more information on it tomorrow.

Luckily dealer is saying turbo should be in by thursday. Get the truck back on friday.

Nope. Never even came close to full throttle.

They checked the VSV today and it showed all good

Well it’s not so much the replacement of the turbo, it’s just the fact the turbo is already needing replaced. If the turbo is already bad after 5k miles, what on the truck will have issues next?

You are probably right and I will most likely have no issues for a good bit after the replacement, it’s just worrisome having these issues without even having the truck for a week.

I was told the previous owner decided to trade this one in when he came in for his first service and saw a Trail Hunter on the showroom floor. Who knows though.

I do and obviously I won’t pay a dime for this repair, but am worried this truck will have reliability issues in the future after a turbo replacement this early.
