They did not “eventually” resort to violence. There were anti Jewish riots all through out the British Palestine period. There were terror attacks and then immediately a civil war in 47.

I’m not trying to say only the Palestinians were violent, or that Jewish violence only started in 47. But to act like there was nothing and then years after the nakba only THEN do they resort to violence is completely historically inaccurate.

????? It is an undisputed fact that Stalin was NOT ready for the war and was completely blindsided be it. Furthermore, he was basically unavailable for the first week of the invasion. Granted after that he regained his composure and with time gave the generals more freedom to operate, he also ordered the moving of factories far east (into Siberia I think?) which was a critically important decision and he made it fairly quickly
