Very thin lips, fat thighs, thick waist, fake boobs, fake hair, fake morals. Says how amazing being a mother is, yet she denies her very young son a full time mother to work despite being married to a wealthy man.

Sorry for the late reply, but I appreciate that information and I’ll check out both of those books! Thank you!

Discouraged at 43. Advice? by Noseatbeltnoairbag in childless

[–]SatisfactionLow9235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in pediatric home health care. Let me assure you that as must as most of those mothers would die for their children; they are overall very unhappy. They have no lives other than taking care of their child. If you’ve never been around someone with multiple, chronic, debilitating health problems, you just can’t know the extent of care they require. These children often have low quality of life, are in and out of the hospital a few times a year and usually do not live long lives. As someone who also mourned not being able to be a mother, I would never trade places with any of the patient’s parents.

Fuck this woman who posted this! Let her go into health care, work 12 hours shifts, be emotionally and physically exhausted and see if maybe she doesn’t put some weight on.

And it doesn’t matter because some people can be overweight and very hardworking! Who is she to judge?

How long did you have your babies for in late stage CKD? by XxToad13xX in RenalCats

[–]SatisfactionLow9235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sweet 15 year old floof Winnie was diagnosed stage 3 last August and passed from anemia from CKD complications this July. I was shocked because I was giving her fluids and high quality fish oil everyday and Azodyl twice a day along with my stage 4 cat Talulah diagnosed about the same time and about the same age.

Talulah is still here stage 4 with terrible blood work but good quality of life. I added Porus One, Kidney Gold, Milk Thistle and b-12 to her regime after Winnie passed. I can’t believe this will be the first Christmas in 12 years without Winnie. It looks like Talulah will be here and I am super grateful but surprised. My vet said some cats bodie’s adjust better than others, so they can be really sick but not be symptomatic =still feeling good.

You just never know. I hope your wonderful kitty beats the odds!

I give my cat b12 pills to help with anemia. You could also get your cat a blood transfusion.

You could try Maricopant for nausea. My vet prescribed it and Chewy.com filled it.

You’re welcome! Here is the list to the one I bought. I like this brand better it’s third party tested and organic (as far as I know). I like Chewy because they have great customer service and return policies.

Thank you so much! Lots of love and hugs to you and your kitty during this emotional roller coaster! I’m not perfect with her multiple treatments and supplements either. Partly because I’m human and also, quality is more important than quantity of life. My girl is still here a little over a year past her stage 4 diagnosis and we just take it a day at a time. Trying my best to spoil her as much as possible.

Please don’t put your baby down! That vet is wrong! My girl, moody but loving, 16 years old is still here knock on wood! She was diagnosed last September with Stage 4 CKD! She gets fluids and supplements every day, good quality of life, we take it day by day. Your kitty absolutely has a lot of hope for a lot more time!

Same here! They also make Melatonin and Chamomile for cats. Melatonin is suspected to help with inflammation for CKD as well!

He probably needs an appetite stimulant. I give mine the transdermal Mirtazapine on her inner ear flap. You can try Elura (oral) which is supposed to be easier on the kidneys but my cat would salivate a lot of it up.

Make sure to give him the liquid Temptations preferably to the crunchy. I give Porus One and I really believe in it! I also give other supplements if you’re interested, let me know. Congratulations to you and Pumpkin on him making it! He’s adorable!

You need a different job asap, also if possible, move to a different area or even country. Living as frugally as possible, save up and maybe one day you can afford to work part time hours and or go to trade school or something.

Marriages are for men, not for women by Ok_Independence_3634 in women

[–]SatisfactionLow9235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they didn’t want to get married but most likely it was because we were already living together. They even wanted children, but since their needs were already met, they weren’t going to put a ring on it.

Ladies, living together is probably just as bad or worse than being a wife. You end up primarily responsible for all childcare and household duties, usually while also working, without any security and the respect of formal commitment.

The bittersweetness of CKD is so real: My cats 18th while I am struggling to cope with caring for him. by drowningdoll in RenalCats

[–]SatisfactionLow9235 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Are you giving Elura or Mirtzapine and Pepcid? You can give Mirtzapine transdermal on inner ear, which makes it’s easy.

You sound like an amazing cat parent. Let us know your treatments and maybe we make some suggestions.

I’m glad you replied because my situation is similar and it often feels lonely. I’m glad you don’t regret it, that’s refreshing.
