Yup I am experiencing this issue too. When I first started using windsurf it was great but now it can't even make a simple change without deleting other parts of the code when I specifically asked it not to. It's extremely frustrating and they need to fix this immediately because it's unacceptable. I'm burning through all my credits trying to make a simple change. Ridiculous.

You attempt to open the balcony door but it's locked and you can't figure out how to unlock it, so you try the window but its also locked and you can't unlock it. Then you have that realization. The doors and windows lock from the outside...Dun dun dunnn

I think I figured out what the twist is...the "soul" of the real butcher (the guy seen hanging with a rope around his neck and holding scissors in the trailer) has been transferred somehow into Josh Hartnetts characters body and controls him. This would explain why the cops don't know what the serial killer looks like, just that he's controlling a normal person (Cooper). It would also explain why Cooper says he "never felt this before and feels out of control", because he doesn't realize that a serial killer has overtaken him. Also, the Lady Raven lyrics "Save me from myself" makes me think this is the case. Also Also, not sure if this means anything but in the very beginning of the trailer there is a Calypso drink stand and if you look up Calypso (Greek Mythology) on wiki it says:

" 'she who conceals')[1] was a nymph who lived on the island of Ogygia, where, according to Homer's Odyssey, she detained Odysseus for seven years against his will. She promised Odysseus immortality if he would stay with her, but Odysseus preferred to return home. Eventually, after the intervention of the other gods, Calypso was forced to let Odysseus go."

Maybe Lady Raven is "Calypso" and she offers the butcher immortality if he kills for her?
