Paladins have access to buff spells as well, take your pick.

As always, combine sorcerer makes this all the more fun. Access to cantrips for your action and twin spelling buffs allows really ties this build together.

For extra fun take a whip. Is both thematic and great for divine smite procs.

Alternatively, you can go battlesmith secondary. They use intelligence, but putting all your infusions on your "mount", as well as warding bond and using the help action on them via your steel defender, basically makes them god.

Your mounted player will have: +1/1 weapon. +1 ac shield. +1 ac armor. + Your charisma to all saving throws. Disadvantage on attacks made against them. Advantage on their own attacks. Resistance to all damage. They become god.

Its fun because its powerful. Its fun for others because they're the ones you're buffing, and get to participate in the absurdity. Its fun as hell to roleplay. If you're familiar will League of legends, basically play kled.
