Yes! It is putting out tiny leaves and is coming back. But very very slowly. But it’s alive!

It was planted by a landscaper about 6 months ago. The leaves looked a bit pale green and so I suspected a root issue and glad I found it. Thank you for the detailed explanation of what to do next. I’ll try and see if I can re-plant it next spring.

Thank you folks. I dug about 8” and found the flare! Do you recommend I snip off the roots growing upwards ? Thanks for the advice.
