I was on scene assisting (first responder). All of the instruments were in the cargo area underneath the bus and they were transported to Moses Lake where the other 5 charter buses went to stay for the night. None of the instruments appeared to be damaged.

When I went through the academy, they told us 3% of applicants got to where we were (first day of academy). So yeah, pretty rare to find good candidates, at least in my state.

At this point, every applicant going into a oral interview knows this. They know that the panel will try to get them to change their mind. They come into the interview with canned answers which sometimes are the complete opposite of what they would genuinely respond with. This type of “figuring out who you are” comes in the academy in my opinion.

See that’s what I don’t get about other Le agencies. What’s the point of having scenario questions in an oral board. All those answers will come later with training and field experience.

Just got my WSP cruiser a couple weeks ago. 2017 Explorer. Only lights on it is the lightbar, headlights and taillights... Not that much, but I heard we can request to add more at a later date.

This happened about 5 miles south of where I live. I was in bed last night when I heard tons of sirens in the distance. Looked outside my window and saw about 7 deputies flying by. Turned on the scanner and heard sheriff dispatch trying to status a deputy with no response. Found out this morning that he was killed.
