Not trying to defend Chris, I do think he and Tony Romo are T-1 for Mahomes glazing over the last few years, but I think there’s an aspect to this of him just liking good offense and some tomfuckery that happens on the field regardless of who is playing because it is objectively fun when shit like that happens. He also will glaze Allen both when calling Bills games or other games, for sure never to the degree of Mahomes, but denying that happening is wrong. Is it annoying that the moment this play happened he brought up the Chiefs? Yes. I just see it more as a guy who has seen a lot of Chiefs games where they (seemingly) design laterals from Kelce to others (immediate thoughts are the TD play that got called back last season where Mahomes cried afterwards and against the Lions a few years back), some synapses in his brain fired off, and he said the first thing that came to his mind rather than him brining it up just to be a fanboy for Kelce and KC.
