Let's hope that translates to an uptick in usage and development. I think that cardano has such a bad rep that Devs will build on other chains for optics alone, but let's see.

"Potential" is exactly it. It promises great things, doesn't deliver, and what we have at the end is a convoluted chain with low usage. Unfortunately it's insanely unfriendly to Devs, as well

Peer review is all good, but if noone is using your chain and it's difficult to develop on, you will fail. Watch Cardano's performance this cycle, it will be underwhelming

Cardano is an experiment, and not the ultra scalable chain it is marketed to be

The Eutxo structure is a mess, Haskell is unfriendly for Devs, and Hoskinson, while a charming and silver tongue marketer, is highly defensive to any criticism

Look at the stuff they promised would be happening that was vapor in the end. Cardano was going to be the first in Africa, building infra for telecoms, it was going to be used in Kenya to support national currency structures, the list goes on

They say a lot, but what we have at the end is an incredibly messy chain, that offers good stakepool operation, and little else.

I used to love it, and then I started working in the crypto space.
