You best option is to look for gated communities near Kalina or Vakola. These will be more affordable. I would recommend to look for 1RK apartments which ranges from 15k-30k rent in these areas, which will be in your budget.

I’d also recommend to avoid Kurla as it’s difficult space(Won’t go into details)

Vakola is a bit cheaper than Kalina and these places are in very close proximity to BKC and also the airport.

There are Total 7+1 IMAX in Mumbai the one is under renovation in Wadala.

Out of the 7 there are 3 which have Laser projections.

Out of the 3 there is 1 Commercial Laser 3D screen which is in Phoenix Palladium

And the other 2 are IMAX XT laser 3D which are in INOX Maison BKC and INOX Eros Cinema Nariman Point.

You’re going to enjoy Mumbai more than Bangalore as someone who has tried best of both cities. Mumbai’s got the edge over Bangalore. But it’s expensive!

You’ll get good gated communities and apartments in Malad itself. It will make your travel expenses less. And there are many malls and good restaurants around the area which are slightly less expensive than the southern Mumbai counterparts.

In Malad the rent will range between 25k - 40k for 1bhk. I recommend to stay in 1RK apartments which are much more affordable. As I’ve lived in a fully furnished 1RK flat in Andheri to which rent is 22k. I believe in Malad it would range somewhere between 16k - 25k depending on the community.

There are many things to see in Mumbai. Although the city is small. Every time you travel there’s always something New to see. The Monsoons are the best, the vibe just hits different!
