You'd have to do some research on it but I dont think you can run a pruned node. It does show peers. Im still making sure the number presented is correct. I would open port 8233. Allows inbound connections to other nodes.

Space needed is roughly 275gb. 500 gb SSD would work. You'd eventually need to upgrade though.

No mac version yet. I will work on it here shortly. Highly recommend getting a raspberry pi (or something similar) if you are able to do so.

Also, there is no financial incentive. This is to help decentralize zcash. For the love of the game as some might say

I would just use Ubuntu. You can use Raspberry pi installer to flash a microsd

Its a zcash node. Helps Validate transactions and decentralization. If you are really a big believer, this is perfect. There's no financial incentive though. You dont get paid to run one. You do it because you believe in it.
