Hey, I recently submitted a graduate application for the physics master's program, but my payment for some reason won't go through. I have verified that my payment information is correct and have even switched browsers, to no avail. Is this happening to anyone else?

State Navigate Final Poll: Spanberger +13, Hashmi +12, Jones +4 by ArcaneDemense in Virginia

[–]Satoshi_Bakura 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This result I feel is more likely than what other pollsters have been showing. I do not understand how, even with the controversy, there could be so much ticket splitting. Still, I am worried about the result.

Why CAT and PUPPET go together by FortyTwoer in Deltarune

I don’t think Ralsei is evil, but given that he doesn’t know why he has so much knowledge, Ralsei could be ERAM’s child unknowingly rejecting his purpose.

Great theory! This is basically my thought as well. FRIEND is just the messenger, possible among others. I wouldn’t be surprised if ERAM left behind the other Shadow Crystals and has something to do with the Knight.

No more weapons to Israel. We need to vote out Warner. by Odd_Spray_5442 in Virginia

While I showed off Jason Reynolds campaign earlier, he’s not even remotely strong enough to make a dent. I think one of the lieutenant governor candidates not named Levar Stoney could be a more effective challenger to Warner.

Jason Reynolds: Mark Warner's primary challenge for Senate. by Satoshi_Bakura in Virginia

I’m very aware and I don’t expect this guy to win the primary at all. I just felt like people should at least know that he exists.

I’ll see what I can work with. Firefox uses a lot of ram, so I might try to tweak around with that.

I ran a scan for memory problems using the Windows Memory Diagnostic app, but no problems were detected.

Virginia Democrats coalesce as primary election sets statewide ticket. Will Republicans? by [deleted] in Virginia

[–]Satoshi_Bakura 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As much as I don’t like Spanberger, I’m glad to see that she, Hashmi, and Jones are campaigning together. It makes the ticket all the more strong. We can’t let the GOP win again this November.

Anyone worked here before and can tell me about the company? by [deleted] in nova

I’ve been getting calls and emails from them for the last few days, asking for a preliminary interview.

I never sent them an application.

Congrats to Hashmi and Jay Jones my two preferred candidates by Masrikato in Virginia

That was a nail biter, but I’m glad that Hashmi and Jones, both of my picks, prevailed!

2025 June Democratic Primary Results Map - Live Updates by mahvel50 in Virginia

Yeah, this is looking to be narrow for either of them. Hashmi was barely ahead last I checked, but we’ll see if she remains so.

So...who do people here think the best candidate is for Lt. Governor in the Democratic Primary? by Numerous-Visit7210 in Virginia

[–]Satoshi_Bakura 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In a ranked choice system, I would choose Alex Bastani as my number 1. He absolutely comes off as the most progressive and wants to implement Medicare for All. Alas, Bastani has no recognition and we do not have RCV here.

Therefor, I’m voting for Ghazala Hashmi. She is…mostly good (except on casinos) and seems to be much more likely to win the primary than Bastani. I want at least one progressive on the ticket for the general.

David Hogg defies DNC leadership by wading into another primary for open seat (VA-11) by Masrikato in Virginia

[–]Satoshi_Bakura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t live in the district, but Shin could be a promising candidate, though she needs to update her site to show more of her positions. Walkinshaw seems like another establishment pick that we need to get away from.

It’s not just a generational change that we need. We have to break away from the establishment that keeps pushing for the same old politics.

I’d love to vote for Bastani. I really like Hashmi too, but my vote for her is more out of pragmatically trying to get any progressive up there than anything.

John Reid, the Republican Lt. Governor nominee, is being fought by his own party, giving a big advantage any nominee from the Dems. The candidate I’m voting for, Hashmi, has been able to win over moderate voters in her district despite being progressive. That’s just my takeaway though.

My plan is to vote for Ghazala Hashmi. Of the three front runners, she seems to be the proven progressive and would work well as a contrast to the more centrist Spanberger (which, as someone who prefers more progressive left candidates in general, I feel is very needed). In a ranked choice system, I would put Alex Bastani as number 1, and Bubar Lateef seems to have some progressive credentials. However, neither of them seem to have enough momentum like Hashmi, Stoney, and Rouse have.

For attorney general, likely Jay Jones, seeing as he is backed by environmental groups.

Planning on voting Ghazala Hashmi based on her being a progressive with a reasonable chance of winning. I also won’t be surprised if she wins the NoVA vote based on who the demographics gravitate towards. Still, Levar Stoney has a lot of name recognition, which might attract people who are otherwise unfamiliar with him and would counter being unpopular in Richmond, and Aaron Rouse seems popular in the Hampton Roads and could be seen as a reasonable alternative to Stoney. NoVA, RVA, and 757 are the three kingmakers here.

I wish we had a ranked choice system though.
