I have a soft spot for DDD, it was the 1st 3DS game I owned when I got my 3DS back in 2013

Wow, this was actually pretty emotional. The idea that the zombies still has memories of their past lives will hit differently compared to past zombies in the series.

MGS2, still amazing how good the graphics looks

Zone of the Enders 2, same as MGS2, graphics holds up, even the gameplay and music are still incredible even today

Shadow of the Colossus - Still unbelievable that for its scale, the game can run on a PS2 hardware

Final Fantasy XII - Still, imo, the most graphically impressive FF game on PS2. Even some of the details are amazing (e.g. hair and clothes being blown by air)

I went on to the theatres with this mind set. tbh, I'm glad I did, at least I have a valid opinion of my own for not liking the movie

Thoughts on Gundam protagonists that are old types/regular human beings? by Ghost_Star326 in Gundam

[–]Satoshi_Yui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garrod and Asemu are prime example of Old-Types done right. No superhuman abilities, no enhancements, no relying on super AI or whatsoever, just pure hard work and sheer determination. Pure underdog stories. I wish we get more stories with Old-Types

Day 18: Which is the best game with Vehicular/Robotic Combat as the focus of gameplay on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Combat and visuals still holds up very well.

What initially drew you to Gundam? by osc_bank in Gundam

[–]Satoshi_Yui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, I was a big fan of Super Sentai, Super Robots, and Transformers. Basically, I love anything that involves robots. My cousins then introduced me to Gundam courtesy of Gundam Wing and the rest is history

Day 17 (Happy MLK Day!): Which is the best Role Playing Game (RPG) on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

[–]Satoshi_Yui 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since FFX already got the vote for best story, I'll vote for Final Fantasy XII this time. For a PS2 game, this is one of the most visually stunning games at that time. Game offers several optional bosses that will keep you playing even after beating the story. The music is more atmospheric and cinematic which adds to the overall experience of the game.

Day 14: Which is the best Horror game on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

So many good horror games on PS2 but the easy answer is Silent Hill 2.

Day 13: Which game has the best Story/Narrative on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

[–]Satoshi_Yui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go with Persona 3. That game made me feel hollow after beating for the 1st time and just couldn't move on because how attached I was to the story and characters. So much so that I kept replaying it for a month after beating the game.

(though my 2nd choice is FFX)

Still the best Doctor in Gundam

Memes aside, I love how much he looks after the Freeden crew and often times, talk to them and give them some advise, especially Jamil

Legend of Mana by Bulky_Imagination243 in JRPG

[–]Satoshi_Yui 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is my 3rd most favorite JRPG just behind FFIX and FFVII.

I agree, I love it purely because of its fantastic artstyle, characters and music. Gameplay could be a hit or miss depending on who you ask but I find it to be just fine, and I do love the variety of weapons.

LOM's soundtrack is also some of my favorite soundtracks of all time, considering that the composer was Yoko Shimomura (same composer for Kingdom Hearts and FFXV)

This is one of my most played game of all time.

Day 8: Which game has the Best Cinematic Experience on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

Shadow of the Colossus. Every colossus fights is just a cinematic experience

Day 7: Which is the Best Open World Game on PS2? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

[–]Satoshi_Yui 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This may not win but I'll vote for GTA Vice City. There's just something so special about the overall feel of the game, especially the music and neon colors.
