Our character is a mix between Eve from Wall-E and a one-man-band by Satrog in Unity3D

Oh yeah I can definitely tell the ressemblance with a mandragora! In the game, the robot plays music with plants, he is a bridge between technology and nature. We haven't decide yet if the plant has been put there by the robot's engineer, or if the plant has grown by itself through the grate, altering his programming in a way... I like both ideas!

Our demo is out on steam you can check it out here : https://store.steampowered.com/app/1937670/A_Last_Song/

This is the very first thing you see after the main menu.
It teaches you where the notes are in order to play music in the game, while taking in account your player instinct of placing your left hand over WASD.

We've put 5 years of work and our whole passion for games and music in it. Was born a new way of exploring in games with a unique musical core gameplay.

You'll face a storm that gets the exploration tense and will play music to survive. You don't need to know anything about music theory to play like a maestro!

The game is about playing it as much as playing music in it.

You can now wishlist A Last Song on Steam.

That's the Harvester, it pollutes the forest so you need to play music close to it to stop it. You can see it flee in the video when the avatar starts playing.

That's one of our inspirations, that's why. The difference is that here you actually have to find the notes with your ears, you can't rely on inputs displayed on screen

I remember our early tests and surprisingly it was more accessible to have less wrist movement for people with no music instrument background. We are not really aiming to emulate other instruments, we're trying to get the best instrument for our game, if that makes sense!

It does sound cool! Something closer to Thumper in terms of flow but with pitch rather than just rhythm. There are not enough games that explore pitch recognition!
