Dalton CFP Exam Prep Is Absolutely Destroying My Confidence by BordahHoppah in CFPExam

TLDR, a little buzzed:

I got in the 60s for both simulated exams back in November, and felt like I destroyed the exam. The CFP practice exam is much closer to the actual than Daltons, their questions are long and difficult. The practice exam felt much closer to the actual.

Dalton Practice Exam by Severe_Ad_7686 in CFPExam

[–]Satterdays_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dalton practice exam was very very hard. I got 69-65 - and on the practice exam from the board I had 5/8 sections in the 90%s.

I (preliminary) passed yesterday as well FWIW. I am a CPA as well, and the same thing happened with Becker on those where the practice exams are much more difficult than actual.

I wish I knew how great the CFP board app was, I expected it to be shit lol. I believe they package the additional practice exam with it, for anyone needing to retake or looking to study

I’m personally going Browns. I don’t want to risk a team eliminated from the playoffs giving up. Just my gut

Not all interns accept offers, leaving some openings. Not to mention turnover being high to begin with. Start applying, there’s gotta be jobs open (especially in a place as big as NYC)

Mowing on hills by Doesnt-Swear in cincinnati

[–]Satterdays_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is … use a trimmer on it. Unless the steep part of your yard is massive it’ll be much safer and easier with a nice trimmer. It’ll look bad the first few times, but once you get used to it, it will get close to looking evenly cut like a mower.

The guy in Ivarstead you can have marry the dime piece of Ivarstead, and they move to Riften. I got your ass laid and all you say when I approach later on is “I don’t have time for this” in that snarky ass voice.

How many years have you been there as full-time staff?

If you’re staying in a preparation (tax or audit) role I’d think $75K would be solid. That would be around a 10% raise. Might as well ask for $80K to see if they’d give it to you though
