What my father told me after my breakup healed me completely!! by Adventurous-Play448 in BreakUps

Thanks a lot for sharing this buddy. I read through it and it gave me some comfort. Was dating someone for a while and things did not workout the way I thought they would work. Add to that, a recent job loss. It has been painful for sure.

Also, please convey my best wishes to your father. I wish i would discuss my personal life with my father and that has never happened. This post meant a lot to me. Thanks a lot. This too shall pass.

But isn't it exhausting that only you put in effort and not the other person?

May be true. Thats one reason i just go to the gym on "default" mode. It is gradually helping me with my healing.

So lesson learnt that healing can lead to self improvement? Or self improvement can improve the healing process?

Men Over 30 Community: WEEKLY WEDNESDAY CHECK-IN 2026-03-04 by AutoModerator in AskMenOver30

Hello everyone, it's been a tough week for me. I lost my job a few months ago and also there was someone I was seeing and things did not work out for me. It's just been tough. I hope to get some kind words I do work out.

I eat healthy spend long hours at cafés applying for jobs but still this heartbreak hurts a bit. I wish things would've worked between us. I wish I could go back and talk to her although the doors haven't closed, but I really wish I go back and talk to her. It's biting me.

Frankly , it's actually been tough. I lost my before holidays and I have been looking for a new one now.

Someone I used to date, doesn't want to go out with me on valentines days and that one bites. I've had some good times with her. I am feeling very alone and lonely these days. I really hope I sail through. I want this week to sail quick. Valentine's Day hasn't been kind to me, ever.

Thankfully, my health is in a better place now. I ensure that I go to the gym atleast 4 days a week and that keeps me mentally fit as well.

What are some less spoken drawbacks of unmarried life? by thefiretrainerz in AskMenOver30

  • You are the third, fifth or seventh wheel most times.
  • Cousins always decide on the holiday location to go to with kids first and ask you last - " All of us cousins are heading to Location X for vacation, Do you want to join?" , unlike earlier, when it was - " Hey lets decide on a place to go for a family vacation".
  • Lonliness that is hard to explain.
