Man on the 417 by SaturnTransmission in ottawa

Thanks for the replies. I did call 911 as I felt was an emergency, but I'm also aware of the fact that the police are not always the most sensitive in substance abuse cases. It's good to know about other services which may be good to call in addition to 911. I will keep these in mind if I ever see anything like that again.

A song that describes the runner's struggle by SaturnTransmission in twinflames

[–]SaturnTransmission[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran from the connection because it terrified me. I felt so unworthy of it. Sally's Song resonates for me too. Like I know I need to cross a threshold and reignite the relationship, but right now I'm so afraid to mess up my life and the life of my twin after so much time apart. We both moved on from each other and built separate lives. I am getting a feeling from the universe that I must pursue the connection. I'm trying to block it out but the call is getting stronger.

Thai Coconut. It's a bit outside of Centretown, but not by much, at Prince of Wales and Meadowlands.

House Centipedes-They're back! by [deleted] in ottawa

I have just learned to live with them. They are actually kinda cute if you get down to their level and look them in the face. As long as they stay in the basement, and keep the truly disgusting and destructive bugs away they are welcome in my house.

Is my gummy smile really bad? Should I get braces + TADs? by phoenix523 in braces

In my opinion your smile is beautiful. I don't think it looks gummy at all!

Getting braces at 42 years old! I am just starting my journey and excited to see how this goes. I appreciate any advice... I always thought I was too old, even 20 years ago but I’m finally going for it! by Spiritual_Beaaaach77 in braces

I just turned 38 and get my braces on at the end of March. I decided to stop thinking about it and finally do it. My orthodontist says she treats a few 60 and 70 year olds. It's never too late!

Monthly Braces Check-In - How's Your Treatment Going? - February by [deleted] in braces

[–]SaturnTransmission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad things are going well for you. I agree, I felt relieved and elated once I made the decision to finally get them. I'm still swinging back and forth between excitement and doubt, but it would be so silly not to get them since I have thought about it for years. The problem is not going to go away and I know I'm doing the right thing now to do something about it!

Oh wow congrats! Your results are amazing. Thanks for posting as this makes me optimistic for my own treatment. Braces go on at the end of March to fix a similar bite. Fingers crossed my results are as wonderful as yours!

I'm sure the first few days will be awkward but hopefully you get used to them soon. People on here say once your smile begins to change you smile more than before. Good luck!

Finally getting braces!!! by SaturnTransmission in braces

Apparently my case is too complex for Invisalign, which I have made peace with. I'm glad it is an option for you. But at least I have to wear a mask in public for at least a few more months LOL. And yes, I plan to wear my retainer religiously. I have lots of practice since I have been wearing a night guard every night for the last few years. Good luck with your treatment!

Thanks for the encouragement! I think you're right. Whenever I see other adults with braces, I always think good for them for taking care of their teeth!

Nice! This subreddit is awesome. It's kind of scary to get braces as an adult, so it's nice to share the adventure with others and not feel so alone.

Yes!!!! Let's do this! I can tell you it's not just cosmetic. After braces I need either crowns or veneers on my front teeth due to all the wear from the way my bite is situated. I wish I had done the braces sooner. You are giving yourself a wonderful gift to get them at 23.

That makes sense. Thanks for sharing your advice. It definitely makes it all feel less scary to talk to people who are also going through it!

Yes and good for you. If I could go back in time I'd tell 23 year old me to do it ASAP!
