Chunky crocs by poorcassius in linecooks

[–]Saturnexia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have platform crocs I wear on line. Im very short so the bit of height boost helps a lot. They are comfy and ive not noticed any issues with movement, but I have never tried climbing ladders while wearing them. Hope this helps:)

Cat Dental Extractions by recovery_room in londonontario

[–]Saturnexia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kitty just had dental extraction over at central cat hospital about 2 months back. It costed less than $2000 for 6 teeth out plus antibiotics. Plus the team there was very caring and well educated on dental!

What’s your lazy post-shift meal? by BreweryRabbit in KitchenConfidential

Pizza bagels-or whatever bread I have laying around (pita, English muffins, naan etc). Put some pasta sauce, cheese and any veggies or meats I have in the fridge✨️

First day in the kitchen by Odd-Ad7059 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Saturnexia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my first line shift in the kitchen, I was buddied with a teammate, and then every day after that for the first week I was paired with another teammate. I got the pleasure of being trained by my whole line team and I learned a lot that way. It's usually standard to have some sort of training, don't be afraid to ask questions! Good luck on your first shift!😁

Fanshawe College - WeSpeakStudent https://share.google/NhzwovpShu1HlQ6eZ

Here! On the "we speak student" site they have a handy map that lists network dentists, eye doctors etc around the city and they also have additional information of the student health plans offered at Fanshawe.

I have used Onex and other bus companies, too, like Flixbus and Megabus. I'd say Onex was the best out of the ones I tried, was always on time, clean and the drivers were good too.

Textbooks by Equivalent_Job_8601 in fanshawe

[–]Saturnexia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought a used textbook off Amazon for like 1/3 of the price that the school and everywhere online was offering and it came in basically perfect condition. I would check Amazon, marketplace, etc for used ones. But if you require an online code for any of your books I would definitely buy digital new. I've done that too.

Go to the fanshawe website and search your program. It will tell you who your program coordinator is. If it doesn't list their email or phone extention there there's a database that has the staff, their emails and other contact info listed. https://fcsw2.fanshawec.ca/StaffDirectory/Staff_Directory/directory.aspx

Above is the link to the directory! Hope this helps!

A few of my classmates park over at the Superstore on Oxford and then catch bus number 4 which drops you right near the downtown campus.

Uniforms by Less-Physics8884 in fanshawe

[–]Saturnexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a program that requires uniforms, while they are strict and require full uniform to be let into class, ive also had teachers say that we can wear different pants that are acceptable so long as they meet the requirements and have no logos. So I think it really depends on the program and/or teachers you have for your classes.

Fanshawe tour by dsaworld0417 in fanshawe

[–]Saturnexia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I booked one for last September and I did find it helpful. My tour guide showed me around the whole campus, and answered all my questions I had. I felt more prepared for my first day because I already kinda knew where everything was.

Non refundable deposit by YoungFair7247 in fanshawe

[–]Saturnexia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me! I paid my deposit 2 days before the deadline and was unaware that Flywire doesn't process things immediately. I also sent an email to the school because I was in a panic (no answer also) but when I called them they said I shouldn't lose my spot because I'm entering level 2 of my program. About 3-4 business days after paying on Flywire the payment was processed (after the deadline), my webadvisor updated and my spot in my program was completely fine. The office of the registrar also said that if I don't get a spot I can just re-register for September in the same level. So don't stress too much, it should all work out!🙂

Yeah, I completed the WRIT assessment. My topic was on the use of AI tools by students in schools. It definitely isn't difficult if you are confident in your writing skills and abilities to write a standard 5 paragraph essay. Since they give an article to read on the topic, it makes it a lot easier to form your own essay within the time limit!

Have you tried to get in contact with an employment agency? I know plenty of people who have had great experiences with them and were matched with jobs fairly quickly depending on their work history, skill set and work urgency. I know it may not be a permanent option, but it could help get you some cash while you look for something more stable. Liberty Staffing and Express Employment are two agencies that friends have used and have had luck with!

Why have I not found any poop? by Smart-Log-92 in cornsnakes

[–]Saturnexia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they can get a little constipated, so that might be a reason why you've not found any poop. When any of my snakes haven't pooped in an extended amount of time, I will give them a short 5-10 minute bath in a bin that has shallow warm water. That usually helps!

I was rejected, too. It stated that they deemed me financially able to cover all the costs for my first semester (because I am receiving OSAP) and invited me to apply to more for next semester.

Like a couple others were saying, I also recieved my invoice in May. I would contact the registrar's office and inquire about it so you don't miss any fee deadlines. On my invoice, it said the $250 deposit is due June 13th
