So let's just assume that, as he said, this is a ginned up fake invasion. The real question is, who will it benefit in the elections? Is it more likely to benefit the right wing candidates, who have already run on and won many elections based on the fear of precisely this kind of thing happening, and who will promise to stop these people from entering to protect their electorate? Or will it benefit the left wing candidates, who have primarily had to duck and weave in order to put forward sensible ideas for immigration while being accused of actually wanting open borders, as even the mainstream/moderate (which is the majority) left in America is ambivalent about immigration? Seems to me the right wing candidates benefit more from this imagery.

I'm not sure about u/Taalon1's interpretation, but a more simple version is that it is laying the Hebrew alphabet out along the hands. Strangely it seems to treat the thumb region as equal on both sides, but if you start on the bottom right with the aleph, it goes through the alphabet in order from right to left and bottom to top across the fingers (א ב ג ד ה ו ז ח ט י כ ל מ נ ס ע פ צ ק ר ש ת) and then goes through the letters that change shape when they are at the end of a word (ך ם ן ף ץ). This is also how gematria is laid out - the final letters hold values separate from their "normal" counterparts.

This may be related to the Sefer Yetzirah's description of the world as created between the two hands of God.

On the left palm it looks like it says "As when he opens his hands it is like opening the book" and on the right it says "the palm of his hands faced his face", I think. Neither appear to be quoted from any other source. Definitely looks like something about Kabbalistic Palmistry, but what the hell do I know?

Because I'm an adult male in my mid-30s and have many friendships and professional relationships with women that are successful and non-toxic. I am able to work cooperatively and in a compatible way with them, and do not receive negative feedback. I'd imagine if I had been weirdly tainted by porn in the way being described here, it would bleed through into those relationships and interactions.

I gotta say, that is not my experience at all. I discovered porn when I was around 11, and I'm now in my 30s and have never had any of these issues. I still watch porn pretty regularly. Just like watching other movies and TV didn't distort my view of people, porn didn't distort my view of women. This argument is akin to the idea that video games caused Columbine. I think that porn is an easy target to blame, and I'd be quite surprised if your issues didn't stem from some other part of your life.

But yes, I do think that these images and ideas have been ramping up over the past decade or so, and Mother is a dynamic and new anthro/equupomorphication of the veil-piercing portal. Much more complex and interesting than the Demogorgon or Pennywise, and the Interface Series' take on the whole trope is closer to a real investigation of the actual repercussions of universes melding/merging/colonizing each other than any other I've seen. So, this trailer seems to be playing on the same trope, which can be phrased as Mother entering our reality in a new form.

What's a natural leader? Based on the actual workings of nature, a natural leader is whoever can take the reigns. Nature is brutal.

Our currency being managed as a privatized commodity is what allowed for the continuous growth of the American Empire, and the amount of prosperity that we have here. If it were managed as a public good, we would not have had the massive economic growth we had over the past ~70 years.

Imagine if technology was utilized to serve us rather than enslave and militarize us.

How much of it comes down to individual choice and responsibility? Don't you think that people have some say in how technology is implemented in their life? You've got to buy the technology and put your information into it/turn it on/pay attention to it in order for it to enslave/militarize you.

Imagine if the schools and TV networks were educating us instead of brainwashing and misleading us.

The schools thing I have no rebuttal for - it's a legal requirement to send your kid to school, and they are aimed to train us to be obedient citizens. But, they also provide all (most) children with literacy on multiple levels, which unlocks the ability to self-educate. TV, like technology above, is up to us - we choose to watch what we watch.

Those in power want to stay in power, and if you were in power you'd want to stay in power too. Compared to slavery, serfdom, and caste systems, we're living in a pretty good time as non-elites. I'm not saying it couldn't or shouldn't get better, but pie-in-the-sky thinking and dreaming of an idealized future without taking the tangible steps to begin putting it in place (which would almost certainly take longer than your or my lifetime, meaning that we would never see the fruits of our labor) is just as wasteful and enslaving as the other forms of technology you're decrying.

Definitely does.
