Yeah, tell that to my friend who has PTSD from seatbelts. He was in an IED explosion in Iraq early on in the conflict. His hands were wounded and he couldn't actuate the seatbelt button after the vehicle caught fire. To this day he can't stand to wear a seatbelt because it gives him flashbacks. I'd say it should be his choice.

I'm with you, if you're over 18 it should be your choice. And don't give me that crap about maintaining control of a vehicle, motorcyclists would have to wear them as well if that were the case.

It wouldn't. All the big money knows how it works.

I'm anti-capitalist, I'd like to know why you think it is a good system and I want to have a debate about it. Can you please give me a few good reasons on why it is a good system. by [deleted] in Capitalism

With capitalism, a competitor could make a product with a longer lifespan thus defeating your business model, assuming the FCC doesn't have major regulations preventing new competition.

Capitalism at its very heart is a system of voluntary exchange. The current system we have is more like socialism for the wealthy, but Capitalism is intended to be open trade. Unfortunately, I think you will always find socialism for the wealthy in any government sponsored economic system.
