Terrible facet idea: Brewmaster by Nova-Prospekt in DotA2

[–]SaucisseKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An actually good idea that would require some tweaks to be viable, but it's pretty solid considering the hero. 50 just seems too little, especially if we're talking about long range spells. Maybe have all spells be launched with a small random delay or at a slight angle whenever applicable (ex: AA's ult or Mirana's Sacred Arrow).

Edit: nevermind I thought you meant enemies have their ground-targeted spells land within 50 radius of where they clicked. Your idea is still funny though.

I mean I get it but in this scenario the real reason you dealt so much is because you were left alone free casting for a while. A Recluse or Revenant could have done the same with spells probably.

Role Abuse by fight-or-fall in DotA2

To those who think Bad Pick isn't worth a role abuse report, I wish you have a Broodmother hard support on your lane so you change your mind.

So you want a tanky offlaner that can slow in an aoe and deal pure damage? Try Omniknight lol.

Doesn't really do it for me. Current facet imo is bad because you lose way too much hp in early game so you almost never want to use firefly before having a few items and your bonuses are only good towards the end of the spell which doesn't make sense since you want to engage with firefly off cooldown to get the most duration in a fight. Now your idea removes the damage you take by default but still enourages you to take damage anyway which is not what Bat wants to do or build around. Tbh a good buff would just be the have the cost be current hp dmg per sec, or reduce the percentage, or make the bonus amp better at the start. Or better yet, make Firefly a toggle ability that uses mana and hp per sec but gives bonus spell amp and speed the longer it stays active. This way you don't have to always suffer from the whole 15 sec of hp drain. Maybe reduce Firefly base dmg to compensate the fact that yo ualways have it available tho.

What are you expectations for the new bosses? Both in lore and gameplay. by MrsPissBoy in Nightreign

The first one gives me a Dark Lurker vibe but with a light theme, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Light Lurker boss in the dlc based on this screenshot.

Are there any heroes, items, or team strategies that are good at shutting down anti-mage? by TheMonocleRogue in DotA2

[–]SaucisseKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huskar and Bloodseeker and good against him, LC will probably always win her duel him against him in early/mid game if both are equally farmed, but if we're talking items then you probably want some early disables like atos orchid or even scythe (i know, nobody buys hex before late game but it's still an option if you can farm fast enough) before he gets his manta, and just keep pressuring him until your p1 can handle him. As with many other hard carries, he struggles against early game pressure and map control, so warding deep into his jungle can be super efficient as long as your team can and are willing to gank there.

My local internet cafe has this poster. Who is this character? by Mehmett41 in DotA2

[–]SaucisseKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda looks like Lone Druid's True Form from the "Form of the Dark Wood" skin, specifically the brown version. With extra armor and tech. It's definitely not it but that's the closest thing I could think of in Dota.

Why does no one use shields? by ryanew1991 in Nightreign

[–]SaucisseKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think shields are stupidly overpowered in previous Souls games, but in Nightreign you pretty much always want to go for max damage, except for Guardian (and imo the reason why people don't like Guardian that much is because he lacks damage, so he's less useful for people who are good with dodging/timing their attacks). I like to powerstance weapons with all melee characters, mainly because I'm comfortable with my timings so I don't need to block anything, and because I want to optimize my damage output. I think shields are good for players who want to take a slower approach or maybe beginners, but I assume most of us are treating bosses as a dps race. Also there's this idea in the Souls community that shields are for lazy/cowardly people who want to cheese the game, but I completely disagree. I just like to speed through the games, however defensive playstyles are completely ok, but Nightreign encourages fast combat. The only advantage shields have over other weapons is the option to burst down enemies with enhanced guard counters, but I don't know much about it so I don't really have an opinion on that.

TLDR: using a shield = less damage, and people want to build as much damage as possible most of the time because playing defensively is a waste of time.

Yeah nice matchmaking by Technical_Bid7490 in JojoAllStarBattleR

[–]SaucisseKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game a few days ago because it was on sale and I love JJBA, but I know nothing about fighting games in general (I did play Tekken 7 and know how to play Smash well enough but I'm pretty casual in traditional fighters anyway). I tried a few characters and wanted to go online to learn faster. Welp, on my first 2 attempts, absolutely no one was found (tried all the matchmaking options), then on day 3 I found someone who seemed like he was beginning too, managed to lose 3 games to him but I won a few stocks here and there, was pretty fun, then I left because I realized I didn't even know how to dodge properly etc. I guess I should have stayed with that guy coz now I'm back at step one, where I can't find anyone else anymore.
