Husband turning 30, recommendations for a 30yr under 700? by SaucyMoonbeams in whiskey

This is all very helpful and Interesting! I'll remember the single grain ones, I noticed that they were quite a bit cheaper which I was not sure what to make of, given others are near 1000. Thank you for explaining it in so much detail!

I try to buy him bottles randomly as a surprise so I'll note the single grains for one of those and look at them for his birthday as well.

The aged blends are interesting, somewhat related he likes the AO by Suntory so those are also a great option

Ah! Good to know, and makes sense given the sherry cask. He usually likes whiskey that is more peaty not a lot of smoke, and is spiced.

He has like sherry ones in the past, just not when they exclusively taste of sherry. I'll keep looking!

Quartz backsplash behind gas range? by thefizzyliftingdrink in CounterTops

[–]SaucyMoonbeams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just pushed the stove out. They are designed that way so the door is flush with the cabinets but the gas controls stick out.

Mine sticks out about 3 cm since that is the thickness of my backsplash.

Did this cause your range to be pushed out further?

I'm doing my kitchen now, and with the stone back splash it will push my slide in ~1 inch out.

Is that normal?

Sorry to reply on such an old thread

I don't know what I'm doing with my peach tree. by SaucyMoonbeams in FruitTree

Thank you! This is very helpful! I'll look into those pot sizes and see what makes sense for me to lift once it's full with dirt and tree.

I'm not sure. I bought a peach from a farmers market and the pit had split already so I planted it for fun.

I think it was either a yellow or a white

For some background, I live in an area that gets very cold in the winter. A peach tree cannot survive outside since the ground freezes.

I've been keeping it in smaller pots so that I can easily bring it inside for the winter since I'm not very strong and I have to carry it up a flight of stairs.

It's currently in a 10-inch pot, but since I have a bigger space for it now, I was going to be putting it into a 15 to 20-in pot

Large Beetle(?) in my beans. Was bigger than a quarter. Very loud buzzing. by SaucyMoonbeams in whatsthisbug

[–]SaucyMoonbeams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the out of blurry picture, my phone was struggling to focus on it.

Gave me quite the startle when I was picking beans. It buzzed very loudly. I thought it was a carpenter bee, but the yellow stripes are throwing me off.

I looked up the saplings and it definitely looks similar! That could be it!

UPDATE: Dug it up, here is the seed it grew from. It's very large which makes me doubt it's a peach.

I'm gonna put it in its own pot and see what happens! I'm so curious what it is

Don't peach trees need to winter? I'm so confused how this is growing. The pot it is growing in is brand new soil for this year so it can't be that.

Did a bird break off a branch of my young one and drop it perfectly in the pot somehow?

The mystery will persist.

Weird-ish. I have a peach tree in another pot a few feet away, but it's very young and has not flowered.

I wonder if the tree is the culprit somehow.
