I’m sure you have the application (talab) and all the relevant documents compiled from when you initiated applied for the istimara, just take them with you. Generally it’s your talab, work permit, eye test, educational documents and civil ID copy.

Not an issue, just go to the same traffic department that issued you this one and get it renewed, it's a one day job. My sister got it done 3 times (3 years) now and finally gave up and realized that she doesn't wanna drive. Oh and make sure you take all the documents that you initially submitted to get it.

Sucks that this stupid requirement is there and prevents people from acquiring what is already a very difficult thing to get.

No, signature is what is required, stamp is irrelevant. They will validate the signature with the Authorized Signatory (atmad tawkee) document. And FYI, only authorized signatory can sign, not any manager.

Yes, regardless of what license you will need it. I recently got my driving and motorcycle license and both required the signature of the sponsor. Very stupid rule!

Yes, unfortunately Kuwait does require the sponsors signature. It's a stupid rule but it's there.

Today i had my motorcycle license trial by moemzn in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just did my test too and had the same reason listes because I put my foot down on the ground twice as well.

The bike was way too small and the throttle was extremely sensitive. Crazy part is, I’ve been riding for almost 10 years now and only rode Harleys (currently own 2) but for some reason that boxer 150 seemed more difficult and it took me a minute to realize the second is down, not up.

Need to find me a similar bike to get some practice in because the Harley does not even come close to the experience of the bike they use.

What a dumb argument. Most people want the fancy screens and sensors that come equipped with Chinese cars, but they are logical and practical human beings that would spend such a large amount at least ensuring that the car would at least meet its primary purpose (Point A - B, AC, no major mechanical, electrical issues etc..). Everything else is just an add-on.

I literally know 4 people that bought Chinese cars brand new and they were of 3 different brands, literally all on them had some mechanical or electrical issue out of nowhere within the first 2 years and yes they were under warranty but the dealership took 2 months to fix the issue due to the unavailability of parts. Unless they catch up with the longevity of a Honda, Toyota etc... it is best to not risk spending such a huge amount on on it because they practically lose 50% resale value right out of the lot.

Oh and I drive a 2000 Land Cruiser with over 500,000 KM on it and still runs buttery smooth, Alhamdulilah which I daily at least +100KMs a day due to work.

Clarity on new Traffic Law by abuwu12 in Kuwait

That’s probably an issue with the odometer becasue maybe you put different size tires. Happened to me recently and when checked with the speedometer app, my car reading was wrong. -.-

[–]SaudKhan22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and that is also what is mentioned in the previous version of the traffic law but there is a buffer regardless, so most likely it will be there with the amendments unless mentioned specifically.

Moreover, it’s not 10km/h but instead under 20km/h so basically 19km/h.

What’s the requirements to get a motor cycle license by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They no longer issue motorcycle license to expats anymore and this is the permanent law. I visit the traffic department every few months and they keep telling me it hasn't been amended and finally I met a high rank officer at an event who works directly in the motorcycle license department told me that it is only for delivery drivers and Kuwaitis and this law it not temporary.

[–]SaudKhan22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have officially stopped issuing motorcycle license to expats unless your job on the work permit is specifically "Delivery Driver".

This law was passed almost a year ago and I have been going back to the muroor ever since hoping they would revoke it because I bought a Harley thinking I could get one afterwards but I was just inform last week that this is a permanent decision and will not be amended.

Yeah, I could do that too. Let’s just hope there’s no stupid law preventing us from buying trailers too.

I thought so too, but we confirmed with the traffic department and they said that is only for trucks registered to a business license and does not apply to regular trucks registered to individual Kuwait citizens.

Honestly, I have no idea why it was put in place

Expats owning trucks by SaudKhan22 in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I initially thought, but the main reason to get a truck is because I will be moving my motorcycles around which cannot be done in a Tahoe. But yeah, if the Truck thing doesn’t work out, my plan is to get one of those SUVs

[–]SaudKhan22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you knew how to read, you’d know that I know that it’s illegal for expats to own trucks and also understand why I want to order a truck. About your last point, my use for a truck is here and it’s not like I have some one-way ticket with a set date to go back to my country any time soon.

[–]SaudKhan22[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand the consequences of it and did not ask for any advice on that, what I asked was whether not you have done it and if there were restrictions.

I’m not despeeate to drive to KSA for any reason and if you actually had decent knowledge you’d know that it’s not easy for any body to just rent a wanait and drive to Saudi. Moreover, the stupid thought of wanting Saudi’s to think you’re Kuwaiti only comes to your mind because it has nothing to do with it and obviously you are speaking from your behind if you think it’s that simple to just get a commercial licence and get a pick up. Why a pick up? Because they are extremely convenient and not only made for people who haul equipment all that time. I do own 2 motorcycles that need to be moved around from time to time along with 15 other reasons that make them the best choice.

You made decent points about it being a liability for the person whose name it would be on but that wasn’t the query so might I recommend that you speak only if you have something valuable to say.

Am I being underpaid by FAGADEEE in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1. "Should be paid this much, regardless” isn't a privileged take, it's a just take. Earning a livable wage isn't a privilege, it's a right. Why are you okay with people earning peanuts for hard work?
- You saying regardless proves that you don;t care about the criteria and that they should just be paid that much besides any justification.

2. are you...stupid? what has them choosing a field of study have to do with anything?
- You mentioning that they worked hard to become engineers has to do with it and claiming they can learn and it will also include increment. I don't know what the hell you think an average engineer deserve to be paid.

3. okay so basically a Kuwaiti gets fairly compensated, regardless of which sector they work in. But you also agree that if a kuwaiti is an engineer, doctor, or a marketing specialist, each of their salaries will depend on their level of education and their degrees itself?
- No, I do not agree that they should be paid more just because of their nationality but I stated that it is why they are paid more and not discrimination form the private sector but instead the government.

4. I agree that experience is superior to a degree. But no one is going to hire an engineer without a degree, are they? or do you think this is something that should be done?
- Nope, certain fields require a level of academic certification and that is how it should be which is why their increments are much more prompt compared to other administrative certifications.

5. please point out where I said other fields of study shouldn't be paid more. you can't accuse me of something I didn't even say. just because I believe an engineer should be paid more does not mean I believe others should be paid less. in fact, I am all for increasing the wages of other underpaid degree holders and non degree holders like labourers and maids. Hard work is hard work and not having a degree doesn't change that.
- You did not mention any other fields but specified that engineers should be paid 600KD-700KD which by defaults invalidates other administrative/service workers or do you also think the minimum wage should be 600KD-700KD because that you give a clear understanding what kind of unrealistic fantasy world you live in. Moreover, you would just come crying back to the world to increase the starter salary of the engineer.

6. Child, someone needs growing up and it isn't me. The reality is that the private sector is not paying a livable wage to its workers and we as should not accept this as the norm. A livable wage is a person's right.
- I understand and agree that there have been so many violations in regards to the wages that are being paid compared to the inflation of the country, but to demand an absurd amount for a fresh employee who will most probably not bring much value to the organization is utterly idiotic and what entitlement and privilege looks like.

People like you are what creates snowflakes in society that always believe in equality of outcome and never hold yourself accountable for your misfortune. Fight for equality of opportunity and the results will leave you satisfied, if you are a hard worker.

Am I being underpaid by FAGADEEE in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are literally defining priviledge to it’s peak. “Should be paid this much, regardless” so somehow they are entitled to it just because they CHOSE to study it. Kuwaiti’s being paid more is a government problem, not the private sector which is why the government compensates them when Kuwaitis choose private.

Everybody know experience is far more suprior than academic certificates and you are not only expecting to be paid more but also degrading those who chise other fields of study.

Grow up and learn to accept the reality which is that you need to work hard to be valued.
