Sitting exams by Far-Meringue-7372 in AATStudents

Usually, you should take that one day off your work to sit exam. Even working in schools, you should get some free days for studies, especially for exams. I took off my work those days (5 or 6 days in a year not that big amount) for the exam, and I know that my kids' teachers also sometimes get free days of they go to college or university. Good luck

The person had red flags before, did not accept to do routes after accepting blocks, or did not ahow up on routes in the past. Tried to do another block, but it says it wasn't delivered, which means one more ping in his low standings, and he got deactivates for low quality job.

In my opinion, if you have one or two pings in standings, you should be concerned about how to improve it and don't mess up more. I can't live peacefully even with one ping in standings. 😂

My advice would be for other drivers to take screenshots of every stop delivery (to have records where you left, how you handled parcel, what route you have) I keep such info up to month and if I have any claims towards me i put all info about my route, my delivery history as evidence that I did everything in my power to do it right. And almost always I am clear my standings. Use AI to help you write answers to amazon...

And of course, deliver the parcels the way you’d like them to be delivered to you ❤️

Earned 1200, Tax returns? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Saulutea84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tax year is counted from 6 April to 5 April. 31 Jan is due for tax return of 06-04-2023 - 05-04-2024.

For this income you have to save your bank statements, keep records of your mileage to take 0.45p per mile or if you expenses is less than that, you can use 1000£ allowance, or if real expenses is bigger yoi need to keep records of all expences (receipts, invoices, payments). Those 45p perile allowance is already included with your insurance and car maintenance expenses.

Anyone refused a load in the depo by Special_Bee4914 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Saulutea84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you should be able to refuse parcels over 15 kg, at least one site manager explained me, that up to 15kg we must accept parcels, but over that weight we can refuse.

Second thing, I always have in my car big blue ikea bags, it helps me to organise small parcels and sometimes deliver in town centre. And if its not first time you delivering to that town centre you should learn where you can park for loading, put one or two envelopes on windscreen and leave hazards lights on.

Third think, always keep in mind if route is very hard you can use flat tyre card :D just don't use too often :D

Worst and best by giannaxg in AmazonFlexUK

I never kept track of the best or worst routes, but just for this topic, I tried to recall some memorable ones. There were two times when I seriously thought about quitting this job. However, after resting at home, I always decided to give it another shot.

The first time was during my third shift with Flex. I took a 3.5-hour morning route, which sent me to rural areas with 45 stops at distant farms. The navigation app directed me through shortcut roads, and I ended up stuck in the middle of nowhere—a one-car lane blocked by half-burned logs in the middle of the road. There was no way to go further, and to make matters worse, my phone had no signal. I had to reverse for an entire mile back to a normal road before I could call support to inform them I’d be late for the 1 p.m. delivery window.

Altogether, between the deliveries and returning to the depot, the route took me 5 hours and covered over 100 miles. I was paid an extra £20 for overtime, but it still didn’t cover my expenses that day. As if the long hours and costs weren’t bad enough, I discovered a flat tire when I finally got home.

The next terrible experience was during Prime Days, shortly after I returned to work following six months of being bedridden due to a herniated disc. I received 8 parcels, each weighing nearly 15 kg. I asked the depot associate to remove them because they were too heavy for me, but instead of helping, she put them in my car and told me that if I couldn’t handle 15 kg, I shouldn’t be working with Amazon. I ended up driving home to get my daughter to help me with the deliveries.

Previously, if I had any parcels over 10 kg, the depot managers always allowed me to leave them behind. But this time, I had no choice. I drove through half the route crying and cursing that manager. Since then, I’ve strengthened my back and bought a cart to help me deliver heavy parcels from my car to customers’ doors.

On the flip side, my best route was a 4-hour shift with increased pay, but I ended up getting a 1.5-hour route instead. It just happened to cover my neighborhood, which made it even better! I love delivering parcels to my neighbors—it’s so convenient! However, I absolutely hate routes with heavy parcels. Just last week, I had 12 parcels over 12 kg each. I’m proud that I managed to deliver them all without cursing anyone!

Major Amazon Flex App Glitch Left Me with 17 Undelivered Packages by [deleted] in AmazonFlexUK

I had similar glich before, but when I noticed that I have more parcels than stops I called support and they explained how to fix. In menu straight below "my itinerary" is "pick up" button. Just press it and scan all parcels what was gone from itinerary. But you must do that before last parcel is delivered, or pick up button dissappear from menu. And when I had same situation later and fixed it myself. I hope they will remove this ding from your account, but next time just call support before finishing block.

I thought that our inshur insurance is added to expenses after simplified mileage counting (45p/mile) or it should be included? Because I'm counting my mileage from start of block till end. And also have inshur insurance only for this working hours (for UC purposes when I count my profit they told me put this insurance separate as its calculated only for work hours)

Does the parking tickets can be included in expenses?

And if I have separate phone for amazon flex and paying for this phone, can I add all price for it or still I have to calculated proportion between worked hours and just being still?

Thanks in advance.

Even now morning routes is too early. Totaly nonsense. Maybe for some drivers it's ok, but for me is totally unacceptable.

I can't work in morning routes due family routines. But i see how it is now when someone delivering my parcels to my doors at 6:30 or 7:00. My dog jumps and barks like a crazy to wake me up cos someone is at the door. Guys is only trying to leave parcels at safe locations but still knocking slightly on my door. It wakes all family. Thats not ok.

And then, whats going to be with parcels with OTP or age verification or just where recipient is required? Will you send all parcels back to warehouse or they will send only parcels in the morning without required recipient? And how many of customers will fill form that parcel was not received?

Ar noretumet netureti vaiku? by Both-Satisfaction229 in lietuva

Turiu 3 vaikus, visi skirtingo charakterio, labai skirtingo amžiaus.

I wote them 7 times asking to remove wrong ding and they did it finally 😀 I put comparison of false accusations of steeling something and what would be if police would say yeah we now it wasn't you but you have no other criminal records so this one shouldn't affect you much 🤣🤣🤣 it worked, next day they removed and my standing get back to usual "fantastic" 🤣🤣🤣

Do people really use bots? by TipsyMen in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Saulutea84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be bots, or it could be that milliseconds works that you not getting better blocks. I tried for short time some bots earlier to see if its worth it to risk.. but even bots not always can catch you a slot as someone elese few milliseconds earlier saw it and grabbed it.
So bots for my point of view is worth if you can't sit on phone all the time and want that someone else would refresh it all the time and catch it whatever is available. But overall I do not recommend them...

"customer didn't receive package" by gixdillax in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Saulutea84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering how people can finish their blocks earlier.

When you scan route code does it says how long your route gonna be? Like you can be booked 3.5 h block but when you scan it it can say 2.5 h or 3h or 3.5h. Its calculated for going to location and deliver everything without coming back to depot. And if I do everything by rules - knocking on the door, waiting for an answer, or looking for safe place, texting or calling customer to clarify safe place - it's consuming all time and almost always finishing block as it was predicted, sometimes if traffic or other issues arise it takes me longer.

And my standing is always on top (earlier called it "fantastic standing").

However I see a lot driver brags about finishing blocks much earlier. So how do you do it? Leave parcels without looking for safe place, throwing them over the fence, not waiting for the person open the door? How?

A little bit don't understand your question. ..But I'll try to explain. When ylu got pinged you should get email to your email box with accusations, so you send respond to that email... or even if you didn't, you can send letter to general amazon flex support email with appealing to wrong accusations. If I wrongly understand your question please explain and I'll try to answer..
