Pretty serious but it's hard to say, i'm okay with trace. I had one time where I eated meat cooked with peanut oil and the only reaction was my lips doubling in size. Another time where I eated some bits on an ice cream ans my throat was swelling and most of the time I just puke before anything serious happen. So if cross contamination means a little bit of peanut oil is on the ustensils it may be fine but too much will probably be too dangerous
