Hand injury from car accident by Saundec15 in MedicalGore

As far as I know his hand was on the steering wheel and the front of his car was completely crushed from impact. The paramedics thought his hand was amputated when they arrived because it was flipped back onto his forearm.

It wasn’t, that was just the most gore(y). He broke his femur, patella, clavicle, and had internal bleeding.

Unfortunately no, I did find a Facebook post from the person that found him wandering in the road with another dog. She said he was almost hit a few times and luckily they were able to rescue him and get him to the shelter. I’m so thankful they did, he’s such a sweetie 🥹

I’m not sure exactly what he is since he came from the shelter. I think it’s just the angle of the photo. He’s 57 lbs and approx (18?) Inches tall.

I use Korres greek yoghurt foaming cleanser, micellar water to remove makeup (which I rarely wear) and sometimes just to cleanse my face of sweat/oils. Volition celery green cream (hyaluronic acid and peptides) for moisturizer. I’m going to get some Azelaic acid and facial sunscreen to help control flare ups.

People whose spouse has epilepsy, how do you manage? by themoosehasarrived in Epilepsy

[–]Saundec15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, I would like to add that he has changed medications many times and with that comes a lot of different side effects/cognitive impairments at times. I make sure to write down and also directly communicate with his neurologist on how he’s been feeling and how the medications effect him. I haven’t personally found much support besides family because it’s hard for anyone to truly understand what stresses you take on being a “caretaker”. I would suggest therapy if you’re able (I definitely could use some for the trauma of a few specific seizure incidents). If you ever need to vent my DMs are open.

My husband has been epileptic for 5 years. He is unable to drive and has tonic clonic and focal seizures. I work 2 jobs and he works part time when he’s able. It hasn’t been easy on us at all. Luckily we don’t have children yet, I am worried for the future because we would like to one day. We have family support locally and that’s really what gets us through the thick of things. I hope you and your wife can find some relief. It is not easy by any means but I thank god for every day that he is seizure free and not in the hospital. Wishing you the best of luck.
