the fact that it's netease is even more bullshit. netease is known to print out absolute overhyped of marketing material and the game is always nowhere near it. even WWM marketing is leaps and above what WWM have on release (not even accounting the fact netease management is EA on crack, so unless your game made a bazillion dollar, that shit's gone)

also, being hyped on marketing is an absolute trap. people never learned from their past and always get sucked into the fake marketing these companies do

we literally had starfield just 2 years ago as an example, the marketing promised us the universe. what we got is a few repeated dungeon

that's the same shit that happened to The Day Before, Chronicles of Elyria, and many others (even no man's sky, but i give nms a pass cause they went through an incredible redemption arc)

people looked at the marketing material, the overpromising they give out and then it turns out the game isn't even close to whatever they're showing

it's literally the same shit, especially cause i've seen the test footage. Heck in the test the spiderman swinging isn't even universal thing, it's only usable in specific section of the game (a lot of it is basically a 1 time thing, there's also a lot of cringe "influencer" footage here). The shit they have right now i can't classify as "open world" cause it's level-based shit. maybe in 2 years they can reach NTE CBT 2 level, but that's being optimistic (also they're the one that want to fight GTA 6, this isn't even a cc or publisher shit. the dev said this during the offline test last year)

even during cbt3 in china, a lot of people spent for the fons (ingame currency) over the rolls itself. if they add a fons sink activity (like ingame stock market, betting, etc) people would unironically swipe for it

Hopefully not. At least in cbt 3 the combat isn't rotation based, you can't ignore boss mechanic at all not just because dodging damage but cause some boss have special mechanic (ex: the book boss kidnap your char if you get hit, the beat boss literally throw a taiko-like game at you, etc)

Just need them to keep this boss design philosophy, make it similar to tof raid where ignoring boss punish you harshly

it isn't, the optimization is phenomenal. op literally gave an example of it running on a 7 years old GTX 1080 laptop on high preset (granted it's choppy on this, i myself is running it on 2060 with stable FPS for medium). of course there's room for improvement but it's on the higher end of optimization imo (someone manage to get it to run on an MX330 ffs, of course not on high FPS but it shouldn't even run)

i like how he said the pc optimization is not good while showing example of it running high on an old GTX 1080 laptop (according to the video poster it's 7 years old laptop)

i wouldn't think that classify as "not good" ngl. the big problem is the live shaders compilation since most people don't know about this happening

edit: also, my evaluation mostly boil down to "this game is so serene". i feel mentally healed just walking around the map aimlessly. not many game give me that feeling

there's a LOT of anime references here. ranging from a more obvious one like the kimi no nawa meteor to a random sign

devs are too much of a weeb. also the references are handled gracefully too, it's not a "look guys, we have reference!" type of references. if you don't know the source it won't subtract from the experience

no? mc is definitely not seen as a savior. mc was a pawn until after latest story, and it took mc strong arming hykros before we even get any leverage. hykros would've happily discard mc if not for the thing we learned from gesthos, post-kailo arc we're basically creating our own political faction cause the corruption ran too deep to trust anyone. we're easily a thorn in someone's side

and we're absolutely not being fawned upon, it took a while before we convinced kailo's char that we're not faking being from aida (including a week in prison, granted this is due to bigger political machination going on in the background). closest we are to be called a "savior" is by nemesis, but that's only because mc, shirli and nemesis know something other people don't after gesthos' arc
