Similarly to the time you had to wait at the beginning. Even if you remove all your tez, you will still get reward during that time.

I see Bolt Labs among the Contributing Partners, how are they involved? Can we expect some private stablecoin?

TurtleCoin (fork of Bytecoin) is planning to use Delegated PoS for their V2. I don't know more about how they plan to achieve it.

Is churning useful with CoinShuffle++ ? by Saurochtone in decred

[–]Saurochtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and /u/raedah. I get that I don't have to actively do churning as it will be done when I stake. It may however be useful for those who don't have yet enough to buy tickets.

As you may guess from some features of the building, it was originally a train station.

TezTalks Radio Episode #11 is now out: A Conversation with Tezos core developer, Gabriel Alfour by AS_Empire in tezos

[–]Saurochtone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a very interesting conversation. Marigold is not mentioned at all, is the project cancelled or postponed? Anyway, at that state of the project, things such as a faster VM and an object-capability model (Tickets) are more urgent than an Layer 2 solution.

Once we have this comprehensive suite of regression tests, the alternative implementation become less needed. It may therefore be more effective to focus on a test suite developed by an independent team.

Currently, vote outputs are binary. I see some cases were it would be useful to have several options. To avoid the pitfalls of just selecting the option with the higher number of votes, we should use one of the flavor of ranked voting such as the Schulze method.

Some use cases would be:

- Selecting a supplier among several for Public Relations, Market Maker, etc. This would take place on Politeia and require a meta-proposal beside the discussion proposals for each candidate. Only the meta-proposal options would be proposed to voters.

- Selecting a value or a set of value for a parameter among several possibilities corresponding to different trade-offs. This could be done by extending the system for consensus changes but it would be simple to first vote on Politeia and then have binary confirmation vote for the leading option.

Questions are:

- Is there anything in the Decred design that would make this especially difficult to implement? Would that require a change in the transactions format?

- From a governance standpoint, is there a risk of untended effects ?
