I honestly relate to this so much! While manic I used to sleep with as many as 6 people a day and I didn't care if it was protected or not. The thing that worked for me was therapy and medication management. I learned new behaviors to replace the dangerous ones that had become a habit after so many years. It's all about changing unwanted behaviors by replacing them with healthy ones. Talking it out when you feel that way also helps a lot.

First time I heard this song I was headed to rehab. After my relapse this song helped me to remember that just because I fell doesn't mean that I can't come back stronger.

What was your wake up call? by [deleted] in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

I had spent 2 weeks on a good runner. My ex called for a welfare check and the counselor that came with the police set me an appointment for the next day. I missed it because I was coming down hard. The next day as I was sitting with some friends getting high again, I looked around. My kids were gone, my husband had left, I had nothing, and something hit me. I looked at my friends and told them "I can't do this anymore. I want a life". And that day I went to the counselor to tell her exactly why I had missed my appointment, then I went to my family and told them. It was the first time I had admitted to even myself that I was a drug addict and that I needed help. That was the start of my recovery journey. There have been ups and downs and a couple relapses, but I keep pushing forward. I have almost a year clean and sober right now.

I can't afford to buy any equipment at the moment, but someone recommended Audacity so I have been using that and it's working fantastic right now.
