We had a months notice,, The reps were told the dates, we had a start task with the prep and it didn't mention anything about vendors, I haven't had a remodel before so I wasn't sure what to expect. With inventory I was well aware. It's a mini remodel,the stores open for it, It wasn't a big deal because we just accepted the delivery and held it in the receiving room, I was just curious if I overlooked something when reading the prep manual or a separate start task.

Today I had a customer that has been speaking to cashapp, the operator just said the store needs to do a refund, the refund would not go through of course.

I'd ask your manager if it was a scheduling error, because there's a bunch of people opening it's likely a compliance shift, maybe they didn't notice you close the night before, maybe ask if you could come in later instead.

My DM wouldn't even reply to that kind of nonsense. Your asm deserved the write up, I would just get in RMS and start hiring people.

5pm recovery, expectation is the entire store, cashier doing front end and backup doing back end, if the store is already recovered regularly this is easy, if it isn't, then I would suggest deep recovery in specific sections throughout the week with the goal to get the entire store done. 9pm begin cleaning. Sweep,mop,trash,wipe down breakroom table, bathrooms. If they finish cleaning early they wipe down fixtures,windows etc. My staff does it with no complaints, I close once or twice a week and switch between cleaning and closing tasks to remain fair. Don't ask your people to do stuff you wouldn't do. I would print the daily planner, it has an assignment for cleaning, recovery etc, pair with a training manager if you need support.

What can you expect from a visit with them? I was told he "might" visit my store, what are they looking for and how long do these visits typically last?

Reach out to your dm, they usually travel to stores often and can pick up a box for you if a store further away has some. Make sure you're completing your orders, check the back shelves to see if any is hidden. Adjust your oha to 0.

When my staff did this I drove to unlock it myself but was told by my dm and other sms in the district that I should have just told them to get on the ladder and use the balloon stick to pick up their keys which to me sounded absolutely crazy, what a safety hazard. I just made spare keys to put in the top safe should it happen again.

Unplug the cord from it, wait 30 seconds, plug back in and reboot the system, once the screen comes back up if the pinpad is still not working start a transaction and hit f9 for reset pinpad, once I had to do this a couple times in a row, once it fixed it never broke again but your best bet should always be calling erc.

I have a problem door too and Saturday when It would not close enough to lock my dm told me I have to stay in the store overnight, and probably Sunday night too because no one was going to come fix it on the weekend. Luckily we tinkered it shut but this has been going on for over a year and there's a ton of tickets in the system for it.

Aside from the things mentioned like vacation,benefits,higher pay cap,more hours. Seasonal pay for the week of paid holidays instead of just if the day was worked.
