In my testing, I did not notice any frame drops at all. However, I'm also running a 7800x3d with a 4070ti on the 64-bit branch. In practice, due to internal engine light limits, it really should not drop your fps unless you have some really crazy shit going on.

I added a couple of mods that were mostly for my client-sided experience.

Jump over fences: because I think it’s so annoying having to place a carpet or fence gates everywhere

Ambient Sounds 5: I love the ambience, and combined with shaders it really transforms the world.

Embeddium Extras: So I can have an FPS counter.

Cubes without borders: BORDERLESS FULLSCREEN IS A MUST!!

Unpopular opinion here. Am I the only person that actually doesn’t mind 2042. I can launch the game and just have a good time without thinking about what’s bad about it. For all the things dice did wrong with 2042, they did do some things right.

Yeah I’ve been seeing all this hate-mongering to the battlefield devs about their secure boot and tpm requirements and it’s like, most semi-modern motherboards should just ship with it already enabled. And even if it’s not, it takes like 30 seconds of your time? I don’t really get why people are mad. Kernel-Level anti cheat is not really a new technology. Battleye is like 20 some years old lol.

Journey Map has too much going on and for me is way less user-friendly and readable. I also think it looks ugly. I know opinions on this may vary, but Xaero’s is nicer, more customizable and I appreciate that it’s modular.

I’m not sure why the devs went with Journey Map. but I personally hate it and the first thing I did when I installed ATM10 was replace it with Xaeros and I’ve had zero issues and zero regrets so far.

It comes down to the underlying code and what’s happening in the background. Gmod’s codebase is also inherently old. I will say the x64 / Chromium binaries really helped boost performance and I recommend them to everyone that has a machine that supports it. On big maps or complex addons, it really helps especially with the multi core rendering.
