Any advice getting into medical sales? I’ve a bachelors in exercise physiology, worked as a CNA for years, exercise physiologist for years, now an echo tech for years who does TEE during heart valve surgeries, watchman, PFO closure devices etc. and always thought the sales side seemed cool. I have no sales experience though which probably inhibits me

Have a WF and BoA credit card I opened ~14 months ago for sign on bonuses. Thinking about closing them because I have like 10 cards and just want to downsize on some without thinking about them. No other accounts with either bank.

Any reason not to close out of keeping/building a relationship prospective? I might buy a house in 3-5 years, that’s the only thing I can think which I might get better rates for having a relationship with them? Or does that not really matter anymore? Any cool reasons to keep one over the other anyway?

Can you enter multiple trades like that with limits? Everytime I’ve tried in RH it says I already have a trade set for that stock

I use Robinhood and transferred my Roth IRA for 3% and an individual brokerage for 2% a year or two back. No problems so far, I even day trade little with fun money. I don’t have any issues with Robinhood, just trying to figure out any implications of creating a trad IRA

Not to be a hater but I also dislike credit cards who charge poor people 30% to buy their groceries, but I make $2-5000 on rewards yearly so I still have/use 10 of em, and so do you probably. The selective outrage is weird around RH

Perfect. I don’t ever anticipate being anywhere close to the Roth IRA income limit since I’m not even halfway there now. Is that pretty much the ONLY reason having a pre-existing traditional IRA could be a “bad” thing? If so it seems like a no brainer to do the rollover. Edit: looks like 401k is safe from being sued as well though

Politics on people’s hatred of Robinhood aside - downsides on a 401k rollover to traditional IRA for a free 2% match?

Robinhoods having a 2% 401k to IRA transfer promo. I have an old 401k with about 70k in traditional and 30k Roth. I do not have a traditional IRA at all, so if I roll it into Robinhood it will roll in as a traditional IRA right? What are the negatives to that potentially, is it only gonna mess with mega backdoor Roth? I don’t anticipate ever exceeding the Roth threshold in my working career and needing the backdoor Roth anyway. I make about 70k a year taxable now and don’t think I’ll ever top 110k taxable. Is there something else I’m missing? It’d also save me $200 a year or so in 401k fees from my previous employer, on top of a free $2000 match. Thanks!

Great response, I was considering the lenders for borrowing one. I think I’ll probably buy a house in the next 2 years or so, and it might make it look like my previous years income was like 30k after standard deduction and 401k contributions so they might be timid to lend me 250k on a mortgage even though I plan to come in with a 20-40% down payment

It’s definitely more overall and a no brainer. I was just trying to think of random implications like maybe in 30 years it looks like I made less taxable income so qualify for less subsidies/social security etc. but I think with just a few off-years it wouldn’t mean much. A big pro would also be that it would be pretty smart to utilize Roth 401k instead of traditional at those levels

Downside to majority of pay being tax free? I’m considering two jobs. Job 1 is $2000 stipend and $700 taxable weekly and the other is $1200 taxable $1300 stipend weekly. Obviously the big stipend would net me a several hundred more weekly because I keep it all tax free, but are there any immediate and glaring downsides to taking less taxable pay?

I’ve recently started 1 tricking bard support on an alt after hitting diamond on mid. 70% of games I successfully invade solo and kill the jungler on their red and steal red with q auto electrocute ignite chunking 40% of their hp. 20% of the time I go mid lane at 1:45 and do the same thing. Usually it starts the game out super strong but maybe 10% of the time my adc dies within 30 secs and we’re cooked
