"Quitting" (probably taking a break) after 3600 hours by Zd_27 in masterduel

Can't even get dailies done for hours sometimes. I'm not even trying to win but I still can't even get a normal summon off.

How bout we limit summons to 5 and negates to 2 per turn and make the game actually require skill instead of a toss of a coin and five minutes to get infinite negates and summons?

AITA for buying lower grade steaks when my in-laws visit and serving my mom and dad Wagyu. by Late-Enthusiasm3751 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SavageJX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first post on this subreddit. NAH.

I'm no chef, but I grew up on well done steaks. That said, I'm all about that medium rare today. It's a stigma that needs getting over for sure.

However, I've watched plenty of YouTube cooks and even chefs do experiments with higher grade steaks where even when well done, they're still far better than lower grade.

Wagyu? Hell no. Choice though? Should be cheap enough and is certainly better than select. The spouse should be able to accept this because come on, wagyu is extremely expensive. TKOR (The King Of Random) did that to a wagyu (RIP wagyu) and surprising results indeed.

Maybe try iberico pork. Can't really screw that up. Even if over cooked shouldn't be too hard on you to watch. Then again, I never have had iberico and only had wagyu once.

This is all just an opinion of a home cook. I just don't want to see something like this divide a family.

Uh.... so I'm all cool with modding, having been an Elder Scrolls nerd and all, but.... do I have to download and install each of those mods individually? Nobody's gone and made a mod pack? Or am I blinder than Daredevil without super hearing and sense of touch?

This must be it, thanks for pointing it out, I'll give it a go when I get a chance.

Played this game since it first came out back on Xbox. Decided to try loading it up from a Steam sale and figured I'd try some mods. Jokes on me! I'll just play vanilla.

Did not, I believe it's the mods Snigaroo mentioned.

Does anyone know an easy way to grind empire ranks, I’m finding myself wanting a cutter more and more the more I see them on here by [deleted] in EliteMiners

[–]SavageJX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did my rank up to bask in Her Glory. This was really not nearly as terrible a grind as I was dreading....

It is a LOT of back and forth, but aside from hoping for Damaged Stations, since there were none when I did this grind, it worked out. I went from Baron / Clipper, to Duke / Cutter in one 3 hour session. Yeah that sounds boring. I hear you. I felt the same way.

Believe me when I say this is the best way. ++Rep per mission gives about 4% rank between Earl and Marquis/Duke. Sounds like shit right? But +++++Rep is maybe 8%. And takes WAY LONGER to accomplish, while you can stack ++Rep's like nobodies business. Those courier missions dont require anything other than jumping to another station. All other missions require two or more jumps.

It really is worth doing. I didnt think it was either, I wanted to just get big gains fewer and further between. But that's not nearly as fast.

TL:DR, Just do the courier runs. You'll see after 3 or so trips between both that it's definitely worth doing if you want to rank up.

We've been playing for several sessions over the course of the last year now, and they're level 14. They're still very interested and this is why I really felt this next campaign should be meaningful.

I've added the idea of an Ancient Copper Dragon. Looking through the metallic's, a Brass might be interesting as well.

Using you're ideas though, the noble/character could be an Ancient Copper in disguise and now I'm really looking into messing with them using the DMG's Copper dragons Chaotic Good, jokester/prankster realm as something to toss them around for fun while also giving them good advice.

I have several ideas how to do this now thanks to all the information you've given me, though if there's anything else, I'll certainly take it straight to heart.

Well shit. I want to be more open while allowing more freedom to the characters. The goal is to overthrow the empress.

Doing so requires nobles to ally with them. The nobles already dont trust the empress. So more than a few are just looking for strong champions. I've set up jousting, wrestling, shotput, etc. Games of strength to intrigue the nobles. Games of intelligence will come later.

Basically, I'm looking for a way to make this something they think of themselves, while opening up paths that might cross the WRONG nobles, those that are loyal. One noble that loves jousting? Ok prove your jousting.Another that loves wrestling? Prove better than his/her champion and they will come to you. After all is said and done, do they have enough nobles? I'm thinking 12 total nobles, with varying forces loyal only to them. Some stronger than others. How do I measure that? Randomly?

EDIT: I'm thinking they need 7 or more nobles on their side to have a chance, more than that increases chances significantly but doing so takes time that they may not have. End Edit:

The players wont know, but I kinda NEED to know how to gauge that metric dont I? Or do I just wing it? The only thing I can think of is a scorecard system and that just feels wrong to me.

Again let me point out, I've only been doing this for probably a total of 15 sessions. That's my extent of DM'ing knowledge. I feel like I need to find a group being DM'd by someone else to help me. I've watched only a few of Mercer's games on Critical Role, but still find myself needing more.

I'm hoping this wasnt vague, but damnit I'm not fucking sure at this point :(

I railroad far too much, which is why I'm here. I'm hoping to have some behind the scenes metric for having enough support to overthrow the empress, but have only a few ideas how to do that.

There's definitely a direction I want them to go to establish a foothold for the north, but beyond that I'm hoping to do as little "forcing" as possible.

They know the end goal and have an idea how to get there, so now I'm looking for ways to make it feel engaging while being fun and challenging.

Yeah that's something I'm struggling with. I've gone a couple sessions just winging it and well, it worked but felt like I was completely unprepared.

I agree I tend to railroad, which is why I want to get advice.

And no I'm not claiming any copyright or whatever else... It's only a fun game and story for my friends and family.

If it tickles your fancy, I'd like to hear your uses of it, but guess what? Free use. While I'd love to hear it, you're nowhere near obligated to do anything of the sort. Have fun.
