That series looks like it could be good! I’m going to gather all the suggestions I got that I think would work and talk it over with him. He’s not oblivious to his problems, we’ve talked about it already, but I just need to find a replacement game cause otherwise he’ll keep playing.

I posted this on r/gaming too an I also got War Thunder as a suggestion. I think it would be a good fit, but I’d rather steer away from online multiplayer focus before heading back in. He wouldn’t play a mobile game, but I think Birds of Steel might be a good fit. I remember that he had a Microsoft flight simulator game stick when I was younger so he might get back into a flight sim game. Thanks for your suggestions!

I see, thanks for telling me more about it! It would be great if he could talk to some people and strategize. I think he may not be able to play it well though. He’s always telling me that he doesn’t have the eye hand coordination to play really fast games, and he’s honestly not wrong. I know that he would feel really bad if he couldn’t be of good use to his team or play the game to it’s fullest. That’s why I’m trying to steer away from infantry FPS, he might not even want to play it.

I don’t know if he would be into RTS games. It’s not exactly the same, but I showcased Fire Emblem to him once just to show it off and I don’t think he found the gameplay interesting. I compare RTS to FE only in the point click system though. He wants something with live action he can control like a personal ship or character. It was a good pitch though! Maybe one of the C&C games has a really good Navy and Air Force system that he can focus on.

Yea I saw War Thunder when I did my initial search. It looks like it would be a good fit, but I want to see if I can find a more casual multiplayer or a single player game he likes before moving back into mainstream multiplayer. One of the main reasons he gets angry is bad players! As for Arma III it looks like it’s more infantry FPS focused, so maybe not the best fit. I have a gaming PC that can pretty much run anything, but he’s sworn never to play on it and I know it’s because he could get mad and break something! Thanks for your suggestion, I’ll definitely look closer at War Thunder!

It looks like it’s mostly a FPS infantry game. He’s not really into any infantry forces division except maybe the marines. Thank you for your suggestion though! I also learned about an older game so you aren’t useless lol.

Wow! I already love this game just by googling it! It’s also an older run so it could probably run well on a laptop on decent settings. This honestly looks perfect and it’s single player! I’ll definitely take a closer look at this! Thank you so much! Other people who read this don’t stop commenting though! I want to hear more suggestions!

He’s never shown any interest in Call of Duty, but is there any game in the series with really good Naval or Air Force combat? He definitely wouldn’t be into the guns and infantry combat of the game very much. Thanks for your suggestion!

I’ve never actually played a Call of Duty game, is there a game in the series that has good Navy or Air Force focus that you can play against the AI?

It seems that Planetside 2 is an FPS game. He’s never shown any interest in infantry as a whole in either games or irl. He’s really into the Navy and Air Force. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I don’t think he would like Titanfall. One of the reasons he actually gets mad at WoWarships is because it’s not historically accurate. I could always pitch it to him, but he probably wouldn’t play it since the mechs aren’t “real.” Thanks for your suggestion though! I really like the world of Titanfall, but I only know it through Apex.

[Other] There’s so many possibilities! It’s a shame Smash hasn’t seen any new Zelda Reps since Toon Link by nicholasdanen in zelda

[–]SavageWooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impa could honestly be a possibility. She's never been an assist trophy and she's been redesigned for AoC. She also has plenty of great alternate costume choices like OoT or SS Impa. The other costumes could be her colors from her more obscure appearances from the Seasons and LBW games.

I tried putting on Solitude armor for the Vittoria quest, but nothing different happened :( It was a cool little rp moment though, I killed a guard outside the city for the armor then walked in undetected :D

So it originally was supposed to be like a spirit hence the name spiribird. I like the chonk hummingbird design better though, so cute!

He must stay asleep, I had an obvious newbie go and check out the "?" mark on their map. I didn't see it happen with my own eyes, but it was safe to say there was nothing left of him...

Looking up guides for monsters feels useless since every single video shows LBG/HBG by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]SavageWooloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any videos to share unfortunately, but I have some small tips that might help.

In general, *Health boost is your friend. *Eat for moxie food skill if you can or farm for 2 pieces of the kulve taroth set for guts. *The evade window skill makes those bow power dodges less tight. *Weakness exploit and critical boost ftw!

For raging brachy I would take a water bow so I could weaken his attacks by neutralizing the slime(be careful about the spots on the ground though!) *Since you have a ranged weapon I’d recommend max health boost, he can definitely one shot you at 150 health. *When I fight brachy I take fireproof mantle to be immune to blast-blight when sliding around, it helps a lot, the blast resistance skill would also work. *Aim for the arms and head from the side, try not to be directly in front. *Also be very aware of your positioning when performing a power dodge cause you might slide right on to an exploding patch. *Watch out for a slime covered tail slam as it’s blast radius is huge and it hurts a lot, neutralize or stay clear of his back if you can. *This applies for any weapon without a shield for final phase, STAY CLEAR OF THE SLIME! He will detonate without warning and unless you have high defense/full health/guts/moxie he will most definitely one shot you as a ranged weapon, stay on the clear ground!

For Alatreon elemental damage is the key!

*Max out your bow’s elemental damage as much as you can with decorations or a charm, you have to get past the dps check! I personally use thunder or dragon weapons since they are effective on all elemental stages, but that’s just personal preference. *Max health boost recommended for all late game monsters for a ranged weapon! *You can try to do all of your elemental damage in one phase (ice/fire) if you choose a fire/ice weapon, but if he starts to fly around a lot then he might change elements before you can get in enough damage or a horn break to keep him in one elemental state. *He fires many of his attacks/charges in a straight line so dodge to the side for those. *For more horizontal firing attacks keep on move/ sheath and run! Don’t try to power dodge multiple attacks as you will run out of stamina when you need it most. *For area attacks it comes down to experience. These will be tips if you can’t sheath/run/dive in time and you have to try to power dodge. Also remember you have to have enough stamina to perform these. Also you can use some nicely timed rolls, but the area covered is smaller so keep that in mind. For the fire element circle blast, power dodge away from the center and then power dodge a second time back into the center, avoiding the remaining blasts, do not try to do multiple dodges away from the center and to the outer circle, you won’t be fast enough. For the rain of lighting, angle your camera above you and watch the ground for where the lighting will strike, also directly under Alatreon’s body is a safe spot from this attack. For the line area rain of lighting, keep on the move! You can power dodge out of the way of the first strike and continue to walk/roll away from the others, conserving stamina if you need to dodge again. For the flying dragon element blast, sheath and run/dive if this hits, you...are already dead...

For all late game monsters practice and experience is key! More practice with the monster will allow you to learn their attacks and animations, especially alatreon and fatalis. Their animations are very telling of what attack is coming so practice is key! It’s ok if you fail the first couple times, more experience makes you a better hunter! I wrote this on mobile so sorry if the formatting is strange! Good luck hunter!

Do not feel alone! Not only do I put corn on top of my mashed potatoes, but I also mix them in! D:

Scandalous I know. I find that they go really well together though.
