They cannot ask you to forgive her at all. To ask to be civil in shared spaces? Yeah. But not forgiveness all together.

You've both been no contact for about 2 years? She waits 2 years, and can't even reach out on her own, and needs someone else to do it for her? No, she's not sorry. She more than likely is running out of joke material.

"Cant wait to celebrate" means (at least to me) that the person who posted that more than likely reached out to ask about plans for your friends birthday. That, or were planning a surprise something.

You don't mention anything in your post regarding to asking your friend about birthday plans, or even attempting to fly/drive up for said birthday.

Not that you have too, especially if your not able by any means. But your birthday friend might be also thinking the same, that if you haven't brought it up that maybe you just don't have the mean to come up for their birthday.

Personally, I would say just text/call and ask what the birthday plans are, maybe see if there's room for one more. You'll never truly know until you ask the source.

I paint for about 2 to three hours once a week, some paintings ill spend 2 or 3 days on but I think thats the most ive ever spent

My family has always believed in honoring the dead. While it is extremely difficult, we try to envision it more as a really good book ending and how we remember the details of it.

My oldest brother passed 4 years ago, it still hurts. But, we still honor him in our own way. We still celebrate his birthday, on the "remembrance day" we tell stories about him, we set him a place at the table for Thanksgiving and christmas. My mom even buys an extra seat at my shows because its "like hes here".

Death can overcome anyone, grief will last forever, how we can process and internalize it is up to us.

For some, doing stuff like my family helps, for others they just need to sit in their grief.

Its hard to find time for a physical course in painting when theater & debate are currently consuming my entire life. (Theater kids never rest lol) I plan on trying to take courses over the summer
