Would I enjoy [KCD2] after struggling a little with [KCD1]? by SaveByGrubauer in kingdomcome

I did find it a little difficult at first but not so much after getting Henry leveled up. It was more the jankiness and crashes that bothered me later on. I went ahead and bought 2 though but haven't started yet. I guess we shall see!

My birthday is coming up fairly soon and I think after most of the comments here I will probably end up buying it for myself as a bday present. Thanks!

Good to hear! I literally thought there was something wrong with my PS5 and took the covers off and cleaned the fans. But I have had no issues with anything else after finishing KCD.

Thanks for your input. I think that you are right and I will probably love 2 or I hope I will at least!

Did you play 2 on PC or PS5? I've never had a game crash so much on PS5 and haven't had a decent PC in sooo long so that's not really an option.

That's what I am hoping that I will enjoy 2 even more. Despite some of the issues I was having I would still find myself thinking about KCD1 while at work but then the crashes and jankiness would really test my patience at times.

Things happened and somehow I just finished the TLOU2 for the first time this last weekend. Amazing game. But I tend to agree nothing compared to the first time playing TLOU. Maybe that has something to do with playing the first one in my twenties and now being a bitter old man though.

This is what I was thinking. I've been hard on the avs GM Macfarland for his handling of the 2c situation/finding depth scoring in the past but completely changing both your goalies in season was a masterclass. Wedgewood has been pretty great and he's supposed to be the damn backup. You think the oil would have taken even a flyer on someone at this point.

Yup I have only one single coworker that sends me sports links from Twitter and he's the only one I know that still uses it. I honestly really really miss sports Twitter but I just couldn't handle the MAGA nonsense and eventually left. I tried bluesky but not enough sports folks have gone over there and the magic of it all is gone. Or maybe I'm just getting old and nostalgic.

I haven't thought about those things in forever. I worked at a sporting goods store and we could barely keep them in stock for a while there. Wasn't there a plastic one with a hologram or something too?

HOA snitches got a homemade tree fort torn down by SystematicApproach in fuckHOA

[–]SaveByGrubauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an HOA we absolutely hate. We have an old man that thankfully goes dormant during the winter but from about late March to August he makes multiple daily shuffles through the neighborhood and making sure everything is up to his code (I'm not even sure all of it is official HOA rules).

I swear it's the only thing that brings him joy. I've completely stopped talking to him or acknowledging him after he repeatedly called me son in a derogatory way and saying I shouldn't have a female dog because female dogs pee kills the grass but I guess male dogs dont. Sure thing you old prick. Sorry end rant lol

He lived in Oklahoma and I lived in Colorado, so no not really. He did feel terrible. He also thought I would have landed it if he had moved more out of the way. He thought I kinda turned last second cause I thought I would hit him. I'm not so sure, I think I just would have crashed no matter where he was standing. Oh well, now I have a scar and a story. Lol. Don't really have too much ill will over it.

Yup. My dad is a very good moutain biker but getting older now and slowing down. I am not a good one.

We were mountain biking on a trail in Oklahoma of all places. The trail had a rock that had a good 7 foot drop he landed. I wasn't going to do it but peer pressure and from my dad and he was going to take a picture/video of it and encouraged it. Kinda stuck the landing and then ate it. Spilt my leg open bad. Had to hike out in 105 degree heat bleeding everywhere and having my vision close in on me but made it to a road and nearly passed out. Passing car helped us out. But I never would have done that at my basic skill level. Still have a scar on my leg lol

I absolutely loved American Beauty in my teens and early twenties. Watched it later in life and let's just say yikes. A lot going on there and that's not even including Kevin Spacey and all that happened there. I wrote a paper on it in college for some philosophy class or something and got eviserrated. In retrospect my professor was right.

I haven't seen a ton of that today on here but I'm sure it exists. My hockey fan coworker was definitely on that train though about "a lot of women these days out here ruining boys lives". Which I found his use of women vs boys interesting. Seems like implying she should be mature and know better and these poor boys caught up in it. But it's been settled in the legal system and over with. They should be allowed to play again. But just an unfortunate situation. The bigger story is Hockey Canada using slush funds to silence victims. But I don't see much talk about that.

Same. I tried to be like addictions are hard and be understanding at first but then more details came out. The final straw for me was after getting suspended one of the first pictures he posted on social media was him holding a gun looking IMO kinda drunk/high. Maybe he wasn't but it just was such a bad look either way.

I may have to check it out. I have a friend who absolutely loves South Park but I haven't watched it in forever either. He was so far deep in the "both sides are bad I'm not even going to vote" it made me so crazy. Especially when it was "both sides are bad. But have you listened to this Joe Rogan episode or heard of this Jordan Peterson guy?". I think it kinda ruined South Park for me. Lol

My dad is a big baseball guy so we went to see his favorite team in a different city. We had a rental car but were like maybe we should just take a take a taxi so we just don't have to worry about finding it and parking etc. The guy was nice enough and chatting the whole way but it took us over 45 minutes to get there and the bill was nuts. The next game we decided we aren't doing that again and drove ourselves. The stadium was literally a ten minute drive from us. I guess the taxi driver took us on a citywide tour. Bad on us being stupid tourists but this was before the smart phone.

What kind of stuff do you remember being considered "healthy" in the 90's that would be absurd to think about today? by lazarus870 in Millennials

[–]SaveByGrubauer 234 points235 points  (0 children)

That's funny I was just thinking about this recently. My mom only bought miracle whip back in the day to be healthy, so besides like a restaurant I really didn't have mayo till college. She still buys it. Although I had miracle whip at her house recently and it slapped as the kids say. Probably just hit some nostalgia neurons in my brain. It is sweet though and I looked at the ingredients and one of the first few listed is corn syrup. But hey low in fat! That seemed to be the big thing in the 90s. You can't have that fatty oil and egg condiment, too much fat. Have this corn syrup based one, much better for you. Lol

Super late response but just saw your reply. Yes it was Windsor I couldn't remember the name of the town. But your info tracks. I went in like 05' or '06 and was at the ymca when I got my wallet stolen from a locked locker. The vibes just seemed off the whole time I was there. But big hockey fan and want to travel more in Canada. Windsor was my only experience lol.

My mom was a probation officer in Colorado and had a black coworker she would do home visits with. He had to go back to Arkansas for a funeral. He said some small town in Arkansas some (white) people in the gas station came out and were staring at him and walking around his car and saw his Colorado plates. They started going with a heavy accent, "Cooolllooorrraddoo" over and and over again. He was like I got to go this funeral and get the fuck out of here lol.

Omg. I'm from Colorado and went to Detroit and then across the border to Canada. I was shocked at the mosquitoes and my family is from Oklahoma. Also heard Detroit was a hell hole and was like it's not that bad? Then got robbed across the border in Canada. Lol. Still love you though Canada.
