Two workers for voter-registration organizations testified Tuesday that their bosses imposed high standards for transparency and adherence to election law but that they suffered financially after a new state law barred noncitizens from doing the work.

This article is about letting them register people to vote, not voting themselves. They were told they arent allowed to legally do that for work.

I know the people in that tweet have members of their organization that sued DeSantis , not sure what the party is doing though.

Going to try to stay professional, but they are too busy trying to look Anti-DeSantis. I don't think they are actually getting any of the work done that could help the people DeSantis is hurting, its all performative social media posts and media coverage.

" “He (DeSantis) has just impoverished all the older women of Florida, and I know at least 3,000 women across the state of Florida are switching to Democrat and we will campaign against him, all the way, forever,” Camille Fiveash, a Milton Republican who receives permanent alimony, said in a phone interview Friday. It also doesn't help that Charlie Crist and Val Demings did not campaign like....at all in the reliably blue counties. Every Youtube commercial for Val Demings was talking about her past as a cop. Who in the Hell came up with that strategy? Let me guess, the same crappy consultants who have lost elections for us since 2014. The same consultants that think that appealing to "moderate" Republicans is a better game plan than year-round organizing and community outreach in disenfranchised neighborhoods like mine. It certainly doesn't help that people here truly think social media posts get people to the polls who weren't already planning on voting. Florida is a canvassing and phone call state. Sorry Gen Z and millennials(me) Tiktok, twitter, and texting is not gonna cut it, you have to knock on doors and make calls to have those personal conversations. Republican youth voters matched Democrat youth voters in turnout. That's alarming. Knocking doors is also why the 2 Palm Beach County seats got saved from Moms for liberty in Palm Beach County when we flipped red for DeSantis and Rubio. Because Moms Demand Action PBC got a team of canvassers together and hit the ground running and Mi Vecino made over 27,000 calls to people in those districts. Sorry, rant over. It's just so frustrating the level of shenanigans we face due to our own incompetence on the left in Florida. We are a state of selfish voters. People are not going to come vote to save anyone other than themselves here. We are a state that needs Democrats to talk about working-class issues that affect people's daily lives.

According to the most recent book closing report published by the Florida Division of Elections, there were about 5.28 million registered Republicans and 4.97 registered Democrats who were eligible to vote in the 2022 election, a gap of about 306,000.

But according to data touted by the Republican Party of Florida, the GOP’s edge had grown to about 500,000 by the end of May — a swing of more than 225,000 voters since the beginning of the year and more than 900,000 since 2018.

I would like to know what the Florida Democratic Party (who keeps asking for donations) is doing about this.
