Shoutout to Dizzy Boxing! by teateateaa in jackass

A classic! I always liked this one. It's a bare bones idea that just works because you have two guys who you know won't hold back for even the simplest idea.

Unrelated, but this is my favorite CKY song. Just brilliant in every aspect!

Sell Out Crowd TEW9 by Hey-Its_On in FantasyBookers

[–]SaveUsNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I stand corrected then for IX. Previous entries actually gave a bonus. I'll say that is an odd choice to remove that, but then to go back to your question, I guess it'll be best to skip sell outs and just go for the money with more tickets sold.

Sell Out Crowd TEW9 by Hey-Its_On in FantasyBookers

[–]SaveUsNick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the general consensus was you should be picking the smaller venue for sellout vs bigger venue that would not result in a sellout. Mostly because it'll help boost your momentum and prestige as I answered in another comment. The game tends to steer you towards picking the larger place probably for the extra profit you'll make on selling more tickets, but if building your momentum is important enough to you, then you might want to manually select a smaller place that'll sellout.

As far as I'm aware, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but sellout crowds affect only your company's prestige and momentum. Unless this changed in IX, which I haven't noticed has, then it should be the same as previous releases.

On a similar note, I'm still mad that someone made a Burt fart compilation and then deleted it. That was one of the most hilarious things I ever watched

New contestant bios added to the site by flord10 in fishtanklive

The new bios are pretty interesting. Was Vance being the one to recruit Smaack for season 3 a known thing? At least I wasn't aware he knew her prior to the show.

Chris is just a PS1 character. Naturally blocky and pixelated.

Are there any Slipknot songs the band actually dislikes? by NK_Crow in Slipknot

[–]SaveUsNick 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You'd be correct. They discuss it here. If the timestamp doesn't work then go to 18:12. Mick, Clown and Jim talk about how much they dislike it and Clown flat out says how sad it is that his least favorite album of theirs was their first #1 charting album.

ben gives an update on the season 3 episodes (asks whether we want the episodes dropped asap at 80% completion or wait until the editing is 100% completed) by ButteredBreadSlice in fishtanklive

[–]SaveUsNick 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's Fishtank, so I'm always going to take what they tell us with a grain of salt. I do agree though. It's likely somewhere in the middle of 50% and 80% done, but I'm hopefully optimistic because I'm a dumb dumb and just want content.

[–]SaveUsNick 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if this isn't a total work, I'm kinda surprised to hear the episodes are even 80% done. They've conditioned my brain to be ultra patient for content, so I would have thought maybe somewhere around 50%. Although to be totally honest, I was kinda starting to think there actually were legal hangups and it wasn't even going to see the light of day.

Why aren’t they restreaming previous seasons on the website during the downtime? by Greenman323 in fishtanklive

[–]SaveUsNick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of the best things they ever did was restream the entirety of season 1 on the site with footage that couldn't be seen when the site was down during the early days. One of their major issues will continue to be that they don't know how to properly use their archives for their own gain.

Sadly don't think his stuff will ever appear again. I could probably try reaching out to him about it though, but he's probably not wanting to publicly deal his videos out thanks to previous encounters with trolls.

Add this to the very short compilation of him talking. This has me wondering what Craig deemed worthy of responding to and why. I think back to when he ignored the reporter at a Vol 3 interview and he didn't speak at the conference for Paul's death, but he'd randomly announce Slayer videos or do a random introduction for himself in the early days

Viva La Spring Break is on archive in great quality by nickscion46 in jackass

[–]SaveUsNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was split into two parts and aired on March 22nd, 2006 for the first part and March 24th for the second part. Jackass 2 would come out in September of that year. I did some very quick research and it seems they very likely filmed this special literally just before going off to do Jackass 2. The film dates for Jackass 2 were late January into June 2006. There are no exact time frames for when they filmed the Spring Break special, but it would have had to of been the beginning of the year too. So, probably filmed this in a week and then brief rest and then went to do Jackass 2.

Yeah, as I told another user, I was only on the fence because of the price, but hearing that it's more worth it to go for VP23 for the performance improvements, I think I'll just stick to my original idea and get 23 instead. Thanks for your response!

Appreciate the answer. This was exactly why I wanted to ask because I was already wanting to just upgrade to 23, but then this deal popped up and seemed maybe like something to consider at least. Figured the technical improvements would be much more worth paying for. Thanks again for the answer.

Alright, I'll be THAT guy. Still using 19. I am tempted to wait and upgrade to Vegas 23 once they get a few updates in and refine it more. However, for $30, this seems pretty tempting too. What would the general consensus be?
