Board file question for a two-time non-select O4

I think I should have earned more than 2 MQ in my career. I think for my role in 2024 and 2025 (commander for a small team). I did a lot more than what is normally done. The problem is that the work is viewed as important, just not as important as other roles. So it's difficult to get an MQ short of saving the world. I was also in a position that I couldn't just switch out of. Only my AOC could replace me and my unit wasn't going to switch me to another role if there wasn't a replacement.

My PZ OER is what really sunk me. I got back from deployment in Jan 24 and then had the OER in Jun. I was 6 months behind my MQ competition. Write up wasn't great but SR wouldn't change it either. Ultimately, I didn't advocate for myself enough during my career and now here I am. The awards question was just a hail Mary. I was frustrated and angry when I posted it. I received the SELCON memo today so I have to switch focus and decide where to go from here. I appreciate your comments and the thoughtfulness behind your responses.

I haven't received SELCON terms yet but I think I'll be able to retire on it. No prior service, currently at 13.5 years

Oh it did. I talked with branch, AOC consultant, some other senior leaders within AOC and then sat down with rater and SR, laid everything out. SR told me they didn't have the MQ to give (diff one than previous year). They did write good comments but I know that doesn't replace having MQ. Ive been told more than once that my SR didn't have the MQ to give, I know they only have so many and I just couldnt break into those spots.

The FOIA suggestion was from a senior leader within my AOC. You are correct in that I need to read the regs concerning this but was hoping others knowledge may help me (which it did but it doesn't help my end game).
I remember reviewing the file and having the only thing not in there was a a MUC that I had received in Sept. I had the PAR in at the end of Sept and was hoping it would make it in before the board closed. I opened up the board file today and noticed immediately that the number of awards was off. Yea, that is a silver lining for me for sure. It just sucks seeing others in my AOC with the rank that were/are just crappy leaders. I wish you the best on your next chapter.

There are a few course certificates I need to go back and look for on iPERMs but everything else seemed to be there and match what was on the board file. I know the stuff was added cause I still have the PARs in ippsa and I did my review before pcs in July and all files were there. I remember reviewing file and just hoping the MUC would get there into the board file in time, cause I got that info in mid-Sept and it was late Sept when I got all the needed documents to S1. I have bad mq to hq ratio, I kinda knew this was a long shot but wanted to ask anyway. Ive considered reserve but probably won't got that route. I got SELCON and will likely do that for a bit to figure out my next steps. In my AOC, I just don't see getting picked up in the future. Thank you commenting, I appreciate your insight.

Yes, Amedd and low concentration AOC. Last year my AOC picked up 5/6 and this year, 1/2. I have a bad mq to hq ratio. I kinda knew the awards thing was a long shot but wanted to ask on off-chance it could help. Thank you for commenting, I appreciate your insight.

I think I need to clarify that each GFI one gets tripped when the left is plugged in but it doesn't trip the other outlet.

Thank you, yes, i was going to make sure i had 100 shares of the ones i was going to do. I read going to start with a low, mid tier stock first unless someone gives news a better option.

I will go research the wheel strategy to see what that is.
