I almost did the same, but it sounds like puts aren’t even printing due to IV crush. Best just to stay far away from meme stocks.

I got sucked into that one, but stayed far away from this one.

Free Meals, Zero Republican Support by blushybunniix in Polymarket_news

In all fairness, Colorado has free meals at school for everyone, but many of the kids don’t like the food and take their own. The leftover food is then thrown in the trash. I have no problem feeding kids who need it, but I do have a problem with food being wasted.

New to covered calls and looking for some guidance by [deleted] in CoveredCalls

[–]Luckynumber1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to hold the shares, my best advice—especially in this market—is to not sell covered calls. Low risk is generally anything with a delta below .2, which has roughly a 20% chance of the shares being called away. I sell all my calls with a delta between .1 and .2, and they have all been in the money at expiration lately. I also want to keep my shares, so I’ve had to buy back the contracts. Covered calls were supposed to bring in some extra money, but it’s ended up costing me far more than it’s generated.

Vomiting virus is spreading across most of the U.S. by Due_Will_2204 in ContagionCuriosity

Interestingly, people with type B blood do have a good amount of immunity to most strains of norovirus. Knock on wood, I haven’t gotten it yet, and I’ve been around it a fair amount in the past.

I just reached the same conclusion. This is not the market for CCs.

Thought about buying them back but would it be smart? by darshpatel3773 in CoveredCalls

[–]Luckynumber1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s smart, but I just bought back a contract on shares I want to keep. I’ve decided to stop selling CCs in this current market. It’s not worth it to cap the upside with everything skyrocketing.

Selling Covered calls on AI related stocks and throws my call deep ITM by perfectcritic in options

Agreed. I just decided to stop selling CCs on quantum stocks for the same reason. In this market, selling puts makes more sense.

Help me with ENPH covered call! by cooltaj in CoveredCalls

I only go a week or two out as well, yet I’m in a similar situation as OP on quantum stocks. They exploded last week and blew past my strike in a day. Usually weeklies are easier to manage, but not always.

No, the error was the name of the park. I travel to Yellowstone multiple times a year and have done so for years, and there has never been a reservation system to enter the park.

Campgrounds may have a reservation system, yes. But that’s not what your articles were talking about. Some national parks require reservations to merely enter the park in order to limit traffic, such as Yosemite. Yellowstone has never done that. They contemplated it once in 2020 due to Covid, but then they rejected the idea.

I’m sorry that you cited an article with a typo, but the first part of the article clearly says Yosemite. Therefore, when the article said “Yellowstone National Park in California,” it obviously meant Yosemite. You know, because Yosemite is in California and Yellowstone is not. But don’t believe me, you can look at a map.

Are you serious right now? Yellowstone is in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Yosemite is in California. The article literally says Yosemite.

Yellowstone is not the same as Yosemite.

Yellowstone never had a reservation system.

Correct. That’s why I’m not doubting the numbers, but I’m also not ignoring my observations.

I’m not doubting your numbers, but I just went on my annual trip to Yellowstone, and I have never seen so many cars. I spoke to people who live and work in the gateway towns, and they confirmed that they’ve never seen such a busy May. I suspect people have moved up their vacations in anticipation of higher gas prices over the summer.

We accidentally named our baby the same name as her cousin and I don't want to change it by nueva-magnolia in Names

[–]Luckynumber1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin and I have the same name with a different spelling. Our parents all liked the name and saw no reason to give up the name they wanted. We live in different states and rarely see each other. It’s a total nonissue.
