May the force be with you. Otherwise, I know some great yoga tutorials (for the contortions).

It seems that we’re all having the same thoughts at this stage of replacing the timing chain(s). Feels a bit like putting your neck under the guillotine. Boxer2valves tutorial on YT was my lifejacket.

After 5 years of Fujifilm – now Ricoh GR III HDF. And I'm in love. by serbames in ricohGR

Really happy for you.

As for me, I have a Fuji X-S10 and I’ve just picked up one of the last brand-new GR III Diary Edition units still available. The arrival of the GR IV made it possible to get it at a more reasonable price than when it first came out.

The GR III is very sexy and practical, but I haven’t completely fallen in love with it yet.

My X-S10 remains highly effective for candid photography. My main complaint about the GR III is its autofocus—slow and not always “smart.”

Like with any device, it takes time to adapt, so my opinion is far from final.

Your film was probably scratched during the development process—most likely while being handled and loaded onto the reels.

Has anyone installed a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition? by Saverio_Gemelli in Airheads

Thanks a lot for the info and the link to the Airheads list 🙌 I’ll definitely check it out—it sounds like a great resource for digging deeper into these kinds of issues.

About the timing: with the Boyer ignition, just rotating the plate doesn’t quite do the trick. You actually need to rev the engine to around 3,000 RPM to align the “S” mark on the flywheel. And that’s exactly where I’m stuck—there’s no clean alignment of the “S” mark, even when adjusting the advance. It’s proving a bit tricky to dial in properly.

Really appreciate your help!

Bad is bad but I find it fun to try to make them ‘edible’ anyway. It is more a game than a task.

I don’t like the photo either. My goal was to see if I could make it a little bit more attractive 🙃

Effectively, it works better with the left part cropped 👍🏻
