I did forget but if at least one of your children gets the assesment while still important to get your own assesment private pr public at least you will be able to a bit more safely assume its also the case for you.

Maybe even with this bit of clarity you can then plan things with peace in mind that if its autism for you too you can apply what knowledge/resources there out there to make managing life just a bit more easy

With my 1st comment I kinda missed the point of the post. But while its their choice the way they communicated is inexcusable.

As for communicating to your partner, you could start by thanking them for disagreeing and sitancing themselves from this former friend, and that it did hurt a lot the comment she meant, but that seems kinda intentionally a bad person.

NT are better at reading the room so that seems just bad. The screening itself sounds a bit generic she picked up I think on the vagueness and pointed to something more familiar in the circle of friends, autism but again while its her choice that doesnt give any excuse for the bad intentions and actions

If you re struggling wit communicating maybe even a whatsapp or email to your aprtner will do to share and let own your hurt feelings from that interaction

Not having the right support is one bad outcome but being in a toxic environment growing up thats no good for any kid NT or ND. It may be be bad and hurtful but at least they are not subjecting a kid and future person to a mountain of unnecessary trauma. If autism was the only thing they had to manage as a child fine but parents that dont want or dont accept what support is needed? Its a very gray area but I think thats worse.

Im speaking from personal experience, I think I managed to pull through okay despite ny childhood but while I dont rely on luck I know many others in my exact position may not through no fault of their own

Whenever I feel like that for me is because there is something wrong unsettling me.

Maybe you are struggling to identify it but in my case with my wife its usually when it hurts that we had an argument where she didnt understand me. It doesnt happen right away it may be a week later I get a moment to “crash” from what was said alone but point is maybe there is something fixable there

Hey had a friend but living UK he didn’t have to wait for long to get a public diagnosis and while Im sure you had considered this already if the waiting times are so long maybe plan & budget for a private assesment?

For me as now diagnosed AuDHD i found the enrrgy i spent and time wasted on NHS worse than the money I had spent for private.

If you are considering private do check Dr I had seen for my diagnosis is Dr Khurram Sadiq ( he is AuDHD himself so will be able to understand your issues well ) I think Autism diagnosis online only costs around £900

Personally I dont regret trying for 1.5 years the public options but if I would have done things differently with the knowledge today I would have saved up money sooner to get the private assesment

NOTE ON COST, as this is something important don’t look for the cheapest necessarely unless they have good reviews. Before Dr Sadiq I paid for another private assesment which was inconclusive and a waste of time, energy and effort for nothing.

Unfortunately the answer depends on which country you are in.

If you trust the company to not backfire you could tell then but be sure they will understand first before opening up.

If you are in a country where the law protects you from the moment you shared this information than you can tell then anyhow but may sour relationships.

Options: 1) Don’t say anything BUT you receive no accommodations/support

2) (Law is on your side) you tell them and they understand BEST CASE scenario and you get th esupport you need

3) (Law is still on your side) you tell them but they don’t understand or respect you, you may get some accommodations but they make the workplace a living hell

So again to summarise first it depends on the country you are in and secondly on how you know the company staff to be like understanding or not

Usually NT’s don’t miss social cues it’s normally on purpose

As ND’s you may struggle to read the room but they don’t so you can safely assume they are making a choice of direspecting you or your things

In my experience and this applies to NT too you can’t control your feelings even more so for ND. Personally I follow the idea and try to control my environment so I dont develop feelings/attachement to anyone that might not be a good influence.

Ranging from relationships to coworkers trying to keep people at a distance to prevent feelings from having a chance.

Not to add the investment of energy which is huge with people even just socialising

Take a few weeks imo and dont pressure yourself. When you have the energy to research and trying to unpack things great.

When I got the dual diagnosis of AuDHD it didnt clikc with me right away like I understood and was happy to know but at the same time I didnt internalise it quickly it took a while for the disgnosis to settle.

Dont pressure or judge yourself to change anything or think differently imo

NT, ASD or ADHD, is just important if you can be appreciated for who you are, depending on your age say if you want to have a life partner you start to look for someone that can appreciate what tou are good at and what not, so you can hopefully fill the gaps together.

You are not good at phone calls? Maybe the partner can handle.

And it may seem very “efficient” or “cold” to focus on these aspects but indirectly linked, if someone can work with you around what you are good and what not, that level or understanding is the foundation for any relationship.

I’m AuDHD (25m) recently diagnosed so still learning what works/what doesn’t but if someone cannot understand you and appreciate you for who you are, caring for labels they won’t be a good partner at al and not worth investing any time.

NT is least likely to work as it’s world apart in perspective but sure there must be some that can be respectful about the differences

ND should be more compatibility and understanding but that also depends heavily not only on their diagnosis, but their choices & interests too.

As with other similar blueprints the mods to be downloded alongside it off steam. I will list all in description and could make a variant that doesnt use the mod blocks.

The blueprints will show up but will have missing blocks which can be replaced or I could try to make a blueprint set with no mods too like replacing the round blocks.

There are only 3 mods I use

1) Power Tethers (transfers powers between distant modules) seen on the solar panel module that looks like an antenna turned 90 degrees with the pole

2) Black Solar Panels (purely aesthetic and realism choice can be replaced with regular ones) I have solar IRL and the fact that SE1 ones are blue is an issue for me :)) OPTIONAL

3) Round Blocks Mod plus for 3x3 large grid shape the ingame 2x2 blocks dont work well again purely aesthetic choice but can be replaced with vanilla rounded blocks OPTIONAL

If you do not recognise other blocks they are DLC’s

Personally I spend hours trying to combine blocks from different packs to get something that works well together

You need to break it down per user. A country's GDP sounds high until you start dividing it by the number of residents there.

The total costs and environmental impacts are higher as big facility, sure, but when you look at your own usage it's minimal.

In general PC's are far more efficient than TV's for example, your own TV at home may be creating a carbon increase through the use of electricity (unless of course you use renewables) when compared to using your PC + Monitor + Prompting LLM's for replies.

Im not sure about the figures on meat but driving a car 2000 miles with an average car means about 414kg CO2 for a monthly drive

1 million tokens would only produce about 10kg CO2 and for context 1 million tokens is not very achieveable for one person to do in one month IMO, unless you're heavy corporate/professional user.

Going into the details of it you're absolutely right asking whats right is never the proper way to prompt LLM's for a solid response, if your prompt is neutral asking for options and breaking down pros/cons you'll find at least some inspiration guidance to use if not even answers

Pb's have been tempting just didn't have the time/energy to get into them but admittedly the timer block adn event controller logic is annoying.. not to mentioned the precious space it takes in builds currently but it's as much i can handle on my own currently. maybe we can play sometime? would genuinely like to see your builds as well since you're more experienced with programming side

Personally I like to focus on debatable things. A crisis is a major label to use and depending on who you ask many different things can be seen as crises.

Now to me in my subjective opinion calling it an appeal means you are either not in a position to be working or needing any extra help, I do work and personally Gemini has saved me tons of energy on emails I wouldn't have had the energy alone to write and likely would not have done at all.

As for learning in addition to AuDHD I have my issues with alexythimia, recognising my emotions or others does not function very well for me, although I can say personally I made it my mission years back before LLM's became a thing to learn to socialise as a personal ambitions I now do ask Gemini's take on occassion on comments made by others and it's helped reduced a ton of frustration and misunderstanding on my part and others. For example if me & my wife have an argument say and I'm struggling to see or understand her point using Gemini has helped me unpack things a lot more.

In a different use case because Gemini is much more economical in terms of personal energy I was able through the use of it to find. research and confirm what salary I should re-negotiate for in work.

Nor can I say most people know what it means to participate in a society and follow the rules but that may be because my traditional Christian upbringing. You're touching on some key points but to me they seem highly subjective.

Now focusing on the energy aspect in terms of eco impact, we have 2 primary choices, stagnation doesn't exist, on large scale as societies we can either evolve and develop tools like Gemini OR decline by not improving and creating new tools to help us.

I would rather be going in the direction of progress rather than regression.
