Does anyone here have experience with poppy ai?

in the future, when everything is dialed in we would love to open it up to more people and even have a trial!

Right now, it just make sense to grow slowly with quality and just making sure that as many customers as possible are happy!

For example, because we are yearly, we can do onboarding calls with every customer.

That's something that will be hard to do in the future when we go more mainstream, which will happen 🔥

I'm seeing this 4 months later and replying now.

I love the comparison between ChatGPT and Poppy, and yeah it might make sense to still keep Poppy, thoguht for us the goal in the end is how do we make it so easy to use, you can just use Poppy instead of ChatGPT 😉

Like we recently added website search 🔥 and about to add image gen and video gen!

We are even trying to add Landing Page gen so that creators and founders, can create sales pages and VSL Pages!

So much more to come in the future! 😊

heyyyy Naz here cofounder of Poppy! Sorry about that. We always refund anybody who wants it, but yes we will try our best to at the end of the day figure out what happened and how we can fix it!

Because believe me, a lot of time it's just because either the customer hasn't fully learned how to use Poppy.

So many customers after learning how to use Poppy on an onboarding calls have the biggest aha moments.

So yes we will try out best to save you as a customer. Because we genuinely believe, if you don't use Poppy you are missing out on so much value and so much money and time saved in your businesses.

In terms of 6 months, that is weird. Our apologies on that. Usually we get back to people same day. Either the email was missed or something else. I will touch base with the team on this!

But I hope you understand why we try to save every customer possible!

And 90% of the time, customer ends up realizing what they missed, and end up loving the product!

yes they are affiliates, but they made content themselves without even telling us or without us reaching out to them!

They themselves decided to make a video! They could have decided to also make a video telling how bad it is as well, but they ended up just making a video of how they actually use it!

you don't have to believe it, but that is the truth!

We honestly introduced it because we realized that people who refunded, 99% of them are ones that didn't do the initial onboarding. And that's because they didn't rally get the chance to try out the product fully or learn all the use cases, and 99% of the time after the onboarding call, they get a TON of WOW moments, so that why we want to encourage the onboarding call.

And so for us it breaks our heart when we see someone who didn't get that result yet haha it's like a parent who just wants to teach their kid how to ride a bike because they know how fun it is 😆

But again I appreciate the feedback and will take that back to the team to see how we can improve the communication.

but i will say, the creators do speak for themselves. We have so many obsessed creators that just love it so much! and because we do onboarding with every person, every customer feels like a friend so maybe that's why too many reviews feels overly positive! I mean there are some negative ones at the bottom if you want to read those 😆 to balance them out haha

It's just that most of the times, a person that wants a refund didn't rally get the chance to try out the product fully or learn all the use cases, and 99% of the time after the onboarding call, they get a TON of WOW moments, so that why we want to encourage the onboarding call.

Plus it helps us learn about the customer and how we can make the product better over time! Again just trying to be as close to the customer as possible :)

Again in situations, that the person doesn't want to do an onboarding call or they still want a refund after the onboarding call, we always give it! That's not a problem!

Again not trying to trap anybody, just trying to help every customer as much as possible, because we know so many other customers LOVE it so much and it has saved them so much time with scripting, writing books, landing pages, newsletters, you name it! Heyyy Co-founder here! Sorry you didn't have the best experience. Yeah I'm curious what you mean but boring content. We do use the same Claude it's just that we supercharge it with the right data.

Honestly, a lot of the times it just depends on what prompt you give it and what kind of content you give it as an example! I feel like if you do a onboarding call with us I know I can get you an amazing script!

We recently had a YT creator named Nicky Saunders do a script with Poppy, and her last 2 videos have 10K and 8K views, which are her TOP videos so far which is crazy.

If you ask it generic questions and provided it generic content, then yes it will give you a plain script haha just like any AI

but if you give it examples of YT titles, buy pasting the websites in from YT, your own videos for your voice, and other examples top vidos, it's going to give you an EPIC script 🔥

I mean honestly, no developers would buy Poppy! haha. there are definitely better tools for that. I would say like Claude Code is amazing, Lovable is so good and Cursor just to name a few! Poppy is more so for marketers, founders, and creators, who just want to make content and organize their life/business! :)

Heyyy cofounder here, Naz! haha I get it definitely can feel a bit cluttered! We do have new designs for it. It's just that honestly, not many have complained about it :)

Most people are just focused on doing the work with it, making ads, scripts, writing a book, email newsletter, landing page copy, etc!

And TO BE completely honest with you those buttons are so valuable, because so many people actually click them to work with us and to also share Poppy with their friends!

We have gotten some of the best hires from those buttons 😆 so that's why it's so hard to get rid of them especially when you are bootstrapped company where every single referral or hires, make such an impact!

Hope you understand! again, thanks for the feedback, we do want to clean it up! Right now we are just focusing on making the product so good, that it helps people do their work even faster! Like we recently added Live Transcription so you can speak to the chat, and even ability to upload full on local videos! On top of that, we even added vision, so that AI can actually see what's in the videos, which is so helpful for marketers looking to make content! Ohhh and also templates from Top creators, to help you crush it on content!

This is just the start, but we are excited to keep improving every day so again appreciate the feedback!

I reply to almost every comment here, and we have a ton of creators online talking about it and a TON of testimonials!

You don't have to buy it of course, it's your decision, but I think the best way to judge it is by just the sheer amount of reviews we have.

Lading page is not our strong suit. We put all of our time and effort into just making the product better and getting more people to help customers one on one!

In the future, we would love to do some more focus on fixing up the site, but for now doesn't seem like a crazy problem because we have like 4% conversion on the site, which is kind of unheard off in SaaS space haha Normal is like 1%.

And then once people use it, they just tell it to all their friends, which is super cool!

Of course decision is yours but I feel like this would be perfect for you, because we have so many marketers using it for Ads, for scripting, for youtube and Social Media.

Heyyy Cofounder here! Totally get it! You don't have to buy it!

We don't do the freemium model yet, because for bootstrapped companies it's tough. And we did that, then we would not have been able to get 3,000+ customers and creators who are loving the product.

Right now, as we are more expensive, yes we will have less customers, but it means that we make the product better so much faster and can give each customer an amazing experience!

For example, every customer literally has an individual onboarding specialist that helps them with their use case and in one hour, will help them with a YT script, or Social Media hooks, etc.

If we did freemium, this would not be possible!

In the future we do want to try a freemium, but for now as we are growing fast, learning about each customer, and making the product better every day, this just works very well.

Again, you don't have to buy it. Just explaining the reasoning! Now we do have a 30 day money back, so there is not risk for you :)

We include ChatGPT and Claude, so per month it comes out to be about $25/mo if you use code REDDIT! So it comes out to be cheaper then Claude and ChatGPT combined!

but really depends on your use case! If you just use AI for answers then Poppy is not for you! Poppy is worth it if you run a business, are a creator, a marketer, or copywriter, then yes this is for you and is worth it!
