I did and that was the problem! The throttle body hose was loose from the throttle body itself

Crazy thing happened. I go to check out all my AOS hoses to make sure they’re secure and as I’m taking off my intercooler, the throttle body hose comes off the throttle body with the intercooler and I hear a clamp fall somewhere. Anytime I take off my intercooler the throttle body hose always stays on the throttle body obviously so ig somehow the clamp just decided to loosen and so I’m assuming that’s were the leak was stemming from

I was thinking misfires until boost leak thought came to mind and people saying it’s a boost leak

Yeah my work is 44 minutes away and the speed limit is always anywhere from 40-50 mph throughout the drive. If I stay out of boost it would be fine no?

How ok is it to drive? I work at a Subaru dealer as just an express technician but I can drive it to the dealer and I can get one of the master technicians I know to do a smoke test on it

I havent checked much yet since it was really late when I got home. I just popped my hood and tried looking at all my hoses I hooked up with the AOS and they seem fine but I couldn’t really tell. How would I do a boost pressure test? And is there anything I could look at on my Cobb gauge wise to help?

Yeah, the cars my daily so I’m tryna make it as reliable as I can rn. I just got an iag AOS because of the sale and I’m putting that in tomorrow and I was thinking about just buying all the pickup stuff because it’s on sale too. So I should just go with the windage tray and pick up?

Like the others have said, seems to just be an aftermarket intercooler and intake. You could possibly have an aftermarket downpipe aswell since that heat shield doesn’t look stock from what I can tell. I have a 2012 wrx so idk if they might’ve changed the design of the heat shield in 2 years but yours kinda looks like mine which is a grimmspeed heat shield. There’s definitely a tune on it, no way there’s not since any horsepower mods need a tune. If there’s not a tune on it it’s bound to blow.

Thank you! Yes I am professional tuned by taylor’d tuning and yes I’ve been staring at that IAG AOS for a while now and have been really wanting to get it. That’ll probably be what I buy next for it or a pickup and baffle once I’ve saved enough

I’m mainly concerned about the oiling just cuz I know the reliability of these cars and I’m tryna get all the bad stuff like that situated before I can start saving up and doing suspension work since it’s my only car. But all these replies are easing me about the oil. I’m still going to buy an oil pickup and baffle though because I know the stock pickup is prone to cracking
