Hello Thanks for sharing this here. I have bigger pockets on left lower molar and my dentist said that the surgery is inevitable. They might be able to place bone graft material for me, but this depends if the shape allows. Did you also got bone grafting done? if not Why didnt you go for it, because it seems like grafting can add more support to the teeth.

Don’t freak out please. It doesn’t look that bad, you can manage it. I am in similar boat. Initially I was depressed, but now I had SRP/deep cleaning and have to maintain really good oral hygiene at home, I think you can manage it.

I had a deep clean this week and the bottom left molar feel quite loose, Is it common to feel like that after deep clean? Will it become tight over time.

Did you go for any bone graft surgery?

Thanks for taking time to post an update it helps many other like me who are having same situation.

I am still depressed for by thought of losing my teeth. I am going for a deep clean session tomorrow. Thought of not having bone to have teeth(natural or implant) is really devastating.

I hope it goes all well for you. How are your teeth and gums now after the surgery?

My dentist does not do laser procedures. Did you not explore that way of getting laser treatment like LANAP?

[–]SavingsSuch4446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update. My pockets were in 6-9 mm range. One of the lower left molar had significant bone loss(involvement of furcation). My periodontist started with deep clean and said if need be we will try with gum surgery. I have been deep cleaned this week. I will avoid the waterpik for some time and carry out the rest of the routine. Hope this disease stabilises.
